📚 NAPLAN RESULTS – IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Dear Parents and Carers,

Our Year 3 NAPLAN results will be coming home with students today.

Unfortunately, our Year 5, 7 and 9 NAPLAN results are not yet available due to technical difficulties associated with the Writing assessment.

Following an investigation by the NAPLAN team, a sanctioned abandonment for the Writing component due to technical reasons has been recorded. This means that students in Year 5, 7 and 9 will not receive a grade or assessment score for their NAPLAN Writing assessment.

Further information will be provided to the school once the student reports are received. An explanation, along with the reports, will then be sent home to families.

We understand that parents and carers may have questions or concerns about this situation. If you would like any further information, please don’t hesitate to contact me at the school.

📢 Years 3–6 Tyalgum Excursion Reminder

Just a reminder to all parents and carers that our Years 3–6 student excursion to Tyalgum will be held from 9–11 September.

Information and permission notes have already been sent home. Please remember that payment for the excursion is due by 2 September.

🎒 Kindergarten 2027 Transition Program – We Can’t Wait to Meet Our Newest Students! 🎒

Do you have a child starting Kindergarten at Tabulam Public School in 2027? We’d love to welcome you to our Transition to School Program!

Our transition sessions will begin Tuesday, 20 October and will continue every Tuesday until 17 November. These sessions are a wonderful opportunity for children to become familiar with our school, meet new friends, and build confidence before starting Kindergarten.

To secure your child’s place, please visit our school front office to collect an enrolment form and complete your application.

Can’t make it into the office? No problem! Enrolment packs and transition information will be delivered to our local preschool from next week.

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Athletics Carnival – Tomorrow! 🏅

The countdown is on! We can’t wait to see everyone tomorrow for the UCPSSA Athletics Carnival.

📍 Events begin at 9:30 am, with our amazing P&C canteen open from 9:15 am, serving delicious food along with tea and coffee. Be sure to check out the attached canteen menu and support our wonderful P&C (cash only)

We look forward to a fantastic day of friendly competition, outstanding sportsmanship, and plenty of fun. We wish all of our students the very best as they give their events their all.

🎉👵👴 99 Days of Kindergarten… and suddenly our school aged about 70 years! 😂

What a fantastic Fun Friday we’ve had at Tabulam Public School as we celebrated our Kindergarten students reaching their first 99 days of school! 🥳

A huge congratulations to all of our students, and especially to our amazing Kindergarten class on this wonderful milestone. We loved seeing so many “old people” wandering around the school today! From grey hair and walking sticks to cardigans and glasses, everyone looked absolutely fantastic and brought plenty of laughs. ❤️

Thank you to all of our students, staff and families for embracing the fun and helping make today such a memorable celebration. The smiles, laughter and enthusiasm made it a day to remember.

📢 Important Information Coming Home Today 📢

Today, students will be bringing home two important items:

📸 School Photos
If you purchased school photos, they will be sent home with your child today.

🏃 Upper Clarence District Athletics Carnival
Students who are 8 years and older and have qualified for next week’s District Athletics Carnival have received a note today outlining the events they have qualified to compete in.

Students who did not qualified to attend the carnival will remain at school and participate in their normal classes and learning program.

On Tuesday the 30th of June Tabulam Public School proudly celebrated NAIDOC Day 2026, bringing together our students, families, friends, community members, and special guests for a wonderful day of learning, culture, and connection.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came along to support our students and celebrate with us. We especially thank our families, friends, the local police, and all community members for helping make the day so special. Your support means so much to our students and our school.

This year's NAIDOC Week theme, 50 Years of Deadly - marks 50 years of honouring and celebrating the histories, cultures, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It reminds us to reflect on the legacy of those who came before us and to continue walking together with respect, pride, and hope for the future.

We are incredibly proud of our students for the respect, enthusiasm, and pride they showed throughout the day. Thank you to everyone who helped make our 2026 NAIDOC Day celebration such a meaningful and memorable event. 🖤💛❤️
