To raise awareness for Bullying No Way Day, last week our staff and students proudly wore purple and orange.

It was wonderful to see our school community coming together to show that everyone has a role to play in creating a safe, inclusive and respectful environment.

Every day is an opportunity to choose kindness, include others and stand up against bullying.

Together, we can help make a difference!

Kerry’s genuine enthusiasm, encouragement and excitement for reading was fantastic to see, and it was wonderful watching our students get involved, share their thoughts and enjoy reading time with her.

Welcome to Week 7!

We have a big week coming up.

Taabinga Tots' Playgroup and Parade on happening tomorrow.

Breakfast Club will be available Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Book Week Parade is this Tuesday, from 8:50am (families welcome)

Year 5 head off to camp on Wednesday morning (returning Friday). We know they will have a great time and can't wait to hear their stories.

Students trialling for Wide Bay Athletics will be heading to Bundaberg this week. We wish them the best of luck!

Year 6 lunch time clubs are still happening Monday to Thursday.

Tuckshop is available FIRST BREAK on Thursday and Friday.

On Wednesday we welcomed teams from Kingaroy State School, Saint Mary's Catholic College, Kingaroy and Wondai State School to our school for the Rugby 7s Gala Day.

The students had a wonderful opportunity to develop their skills, tactics and game awareness, while also building teamwork and showing great sportsmanship throughout the day.

The Taabinga team was undefeated in their games, and it all came down to the final between Taabinga and Kingaroy. The final game ended in a tie for first place, however, with the points differential, the Taabinga team narrowly took the title, with Kingaroy SS finishing as runners-up.

Congratulations to all of the players on the day, for their effort, determination and teamwork, and for helping to make it such a fantastic day.

Our curious learners in 1F have been exploring the science behind habitats and discovering what animals need not just to survive, but to truly thrive.
As part of their learning, students worked hard to design and make their own coral reef creations and sea life artwork, showcasing the vibrant habitats found beneath our oceans.
1F have also been carefully monitoring their mealworms and observing their growth and behaviour. There have been many thoughtful discussions about which food scraps the mealworms enjoy and which ones they tend to avoid. Through observation, questioning, and investigation, students are learning firsthand what living things need to stay healthy.
It has been fantastic to see the curious minds of 1F so eager to learn, explore, and ask questions.
Their enthusiasm for discovery is exactly what Science Week is all about.
Keep asking questions, keep exploring, and keep wondering, 1F.
