Just got off a call with a client in Iowa 😄

Such a lovely gentleman.

He had a huge career in real estate and has achieved a lot over the years, yet what struck me most wasn’t what he’d done…It was how excited he was about what’s next.

I think that’s one of the things I enjoy most about what I do.

Meeting people who have already accomplished great things but still have that spark.

Still curious. Still growing. Still open to learning something new and creating a new chapter for themselves.

Because no matter how successful you’ve been, I don’t believe growth has an expiry date.

In fact, some of the most inspiring people I meet are the ones who could easily coast through life… but choose not to.

Here’s to new chapters 😄

Funny thing…

People often look at my life now and assume I’ve always been comfortable with technology, social media and building a business online 😄

Nothing could be further from the truth.

When I started, I had spent almost two decades in traditional business.

I wasn’t the person setting up systems.

I wasn’t running ads. I wasn’t figuring out tech. I had people for that.

Then suddenly there I was, sitting at my kitchen table trying to work it all out for myself.

And honestly? It was probably one of the best things that ever happened to me.

Because every new thing I learned built confidence.

Every small win reminded me I was capable of more than I’d given myself credit for.

These days I’m the complete opposite.

I’m ridiculously curious 😄

I can happily spend hours exploring new technology, AI tools, marketing strategies and better ways of doing business.

And one of the things I enjoy most is sharing what I learn with our wider community.

That’s why I always smile when someone tells me they’re “not technical”.

Neither was I.

You don’t need to know everything when you start.

You just need to be willing to learn the next thing. 💛

This photo was taken about 4 months after I started my online business and honestly… I still remember how surreal that trip felt.

For years my entire life revolved around one location, one business and constant responsibility.

Everything depended on me physically being there all the time. So sitting under a tree in Phuket with my laptop beside me thinking, “Hang on… this is actually work?” 😂…..was a pretty big mindset shift.

I think that trip was the first time it really clicked for me that there are different ways to build success & build a business. Ways that still allow you to work hard, grow and build something meaningful… without feeling chained to the same four walls forever.

And honestly, that freedom and flexibility is something I’ll never take for granted. 💛

Looking at these photos reminded me how much I value flexibility now.

Not the “do nothing all day” kind. Just the ability to structure life a little differently.

To take a breather. Clear my head.
Work without feeling chained to constant pressure and urgency all the time.

Years ago everything in business felt urgent.

Now I’m far more intentional about how I work, how I live and where my energy goes.

Anyway… coffee and rainy day vibes over here today ☕️

One thing I’ve learned in business…

Nothing really changes until you make a proper decision 😄

Not “maybe someday”.
Not “I’ll wait until I feel more confident”.
Not sitting there overthinking yourself into exhaustion.

An actual decision.

The kind where you decide you’re no longer available for the same routine, the same stress and constantly putting your own goals on the back burner.

Trust me, when I first stepped into the online world I did not have everything figured out.

Actually…..far from it.

There were definitely moments where I thought…..”What in God’s name am I doing here?” 😅

But once I made the decision that I wanted a different way of living and working, things slowly started shifting.

Different people.Different conversations.
Different opportunities showed up.

Funny how life starts moving when you finally back yourself instead of constantly doubting yourself.💛

One thing I underestimated when I first stepped into the online space was the value of not having to figure everything out alone.

Coming from a traditional business background, I was used to wearing every hat.

Solving every problem. Making every decision. Carrying the pressure. Trying to work everything out yourself.

And while that taught me a lot, it was also stressful.

One of the biggest shifts for me was realising how much faster and lighter business feels when you have mentorship, systems and the right people around you.

I think a lot of capable people stay stuck simply because they believe they need to know everything before they start.

Let me tell you…..you don’t.

You just need to be willing to learn, stay open & curious and take the next step.

That’s how confidence gets built 💛

“Easy choices, hard life. Hard choices easy life”.

Saw this quote on LinkedIn yesterday and it definitely made me think.

Because if I look back over my own life, the biggest changes never came from doing what felt easy in the moment.

They came from the uncomfortable decisions I was forced to make.

Starting over. Learning new things. Having difficult conversations. Backing myself before I fully believed in myself. Showing up consistently when nobody was clapping yet.

And trust me, there were plenty of moments over the years where I would’ve happily chosen the easier option.

I think most growth in life is built in the small decisions nobody sees.

The things you keep choosing… even when you don’t feel like it. 💛

Funny thing is, people usually only ever see the finished version of things online.

Not the preparation.Not the conversations.
Not the work happening quietly in the background.

A lot of exciting things happening over here at the moment and I’m really looking forward to what’s ahead 😄

Had a great conversation with one of my clients in the US this morning.

He was feeling a bit frustrated with the technical side of building online and said to me…

“You know Karen, I used to have staff do all of this for me so I feel really slow.”

And honestly?
I could relate completely….I was the same 😄

When I first started in the online space, I came in blind. No great tech background.
No clue what I was doing half the time but just a willingness to learn as I went.

I think people massively underestimate what they’re capable of figuring out when they stop expecting themselves to know everything immediately.

The goal isn’t perfection. It’s baby steps.
Learning one thing at a time. Getting a little better each week. And allowing yourself to be a beginner without making that mean something about your intelligence.

That’s how confidence is built.
