Surf Sense is bringing the world’s first real-time coastal wave monitoring and notification system to beaches and other ocean recreation locations.

Featuring innovative technology and algorithms, it can measure the features of swell and surface waves with centimetre-level accuracy. Under development is a hardware platform and network infrastructure that can live-stream location specific wave data to end users, including surfers, televised surfing competitions, rockfishers and lifeguards. Surf Sense was founded by UNSW Engineering graduates Nathan Adler and Sam Cassisi shortly after completing their studies at the end of 2015.
