We asked TEDxUSYD student speaker Adam El-Masri and content creator Amanda Yu about their deeper fears & the consequences when it comes public speaking and communication.

When they broke it down and got to the core impact, it’s made clear that strong communication is the key to unlocking the life & career they want.

What a night! Elqo is proud to have been part of TEDxUSYD’s flagship event this semester.

The energy was buzzing as everyone shared their passion for public speaking. We luckily had the opportunity to support this and show everyone how Elqo can help them one day be on that TEDx stage!

Big shoutout to for partnering with us and giving students the opportunity to express their ideas & stories.

Most people would rather face death than speak in public.

It sounds exaggerated, but it’s true. The fear of public speaking ranks higher than almost any other, and yet communication is the one skill that defines how far we go.

We spend years learning technical skills, frameworks, and tools.
But when it’s time to speak, to lead, to persuade, to inspire. Most of us freeze.

That’s why we built Elqo (https://www.linkedin.com/feed/ #).

Elqo is an AI-powered public speaking coach that helps you build confidence through deliberate practice, real-time analysis, and actionable feedback.

It listens as you speak, highlights your strengths, and identifies what holds you back, from filler words and pacing to tone and structure.
Then it gives you personalised exercises and measurable progress tracking to help you improve every day.

It’s not about sounding perfect.
It’s about sounding authentic, clear, and confident.

Whether you’re leading a meeting, presenting on stage, or even coffee chatting, Elqo helps you turn nervous energy into presence and authority.

Public speaking isn’t a talent. It’s a skill and now it’s coachable.

Elqo is live.

Episode 3

Real growth starts when you stop waiting for the right moment and start investing in yourself. Most people think “investing” only applies to money or stocks, but your focus, workspace, and habits are assets too. Every decision to improve your environment, tools, or mindset compounds over time. You won’t see instant returns, but those small, consistent upgrades add up to massive long-term gains.

The goal isn’t to spend more, it’s to bet on your potential. When you choose to create a space that supports your best work, you signal to yourself that you take your goals seriously. Whether it’s upgrading your setup, setting time boundaries, or learning a new skill, those are all forms of self-investment. They shape who you become and what you can achieve next.

Are you the guy on the left? Or the guy on the right? Comment down below 👇

You might think: “oh but just because I say um, or sometimes I don’t look at my listener, it doesn’t mean I’m not confident”

Maaaaybbe that could be true, but what would the person listening to you think?

Every “um”, every quiver, every stumble —> these all eventually build up and create an image of anxiety and shyness.

If you want to move from shy & unclear to respected & trusted, sign up for Elqo now.
