It’s been incredible watching their confidence grow and seeing how much fun they’ve had getting active and learning new skills.

Last week, the Our Healthy Kids team attended Briar Rd Public School’s Reconciliation Week event.

It was a fantastic day celebrating connection, culture and community, and showcasing what it truly means to be 'All In' for our kids and communities. πŸ’›πŸ–€β€οΈ

Did you know that different coloured fruits and vegetables help our bodies in different ways? 🍎πŸ₯•πŸ₯¦

Red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple foods are packed with vitamins and nutrients that help us grow strong, stay healthy and feel our best.

What's your favourite colourful fruit or vegetable? πŸŒ½πŸ“πŸ₯

There’s something really special about visiting little country schools πŸ’›

Western Educator Aaron has loved spending time with students across the region β€” from learning about healthy eating and making homemade chicken soup with veggies grown in the school garden, to yarns about local animals and exploring local wildlife along the way. 🦎

Big thanks to Mullion Creek Public School and Spring Terrace Public School for welcoming the Our Healthy Kids team into your schools. ✨

This National Reconciliation Week, we’re All In. ✊🏽

At Our Healthy Kids, that means working together with schools, families and communities to support strong, healthy and connected kids through culture, learning and community-led health education.

Let's be 'All In' for our children's health, wellbeing and future.

During the school holidays, our Northern Our Healthy Kids team Jenaya and Dalton, spent time on Country in Coonabarabran.

They visited the brand new Maaruma-Li Aboriginal Medical Service, connecting with Elders and community, and took part in training with Carers NSW to keep building their knowledge and skills.

The team also visited the historic Burra Bee Dee Aboriginal Mission β€” making sure everything we share through Our Healthy Kids stays strong in culture, connection, and community. 🀝🏽

Metro Educator, Cecily, was wrapping up our session by running students through the rules of a fun 3-on-3 basketball game. πŸ€

After a big yarn on Healthy Eating β€” including food swaps and choosing healthier options β€” the kids got to put their energy into action on the court.

Learning, moving, and making healthy choices together πŸ’œ
