We’re officially one year old! 🎉
GradeWise has now supported students from 20+ Australian universities, provided detailed feedback on more than 60 assignments and theses, and contributed to some incredible academic achievements - including many students achieving their first-ever HDs!
Behind every draft was a real student doing their best, and we’re proud to have offered support, encouragement, and clarity when it was needed most. Here’s to another year of supporting psychology students one assignment at a time 💙

📢 Your Grade ≠ Your Worth: Why Feedback Is Your Academic Friend
Receiving assignment feedback can feel discouraging—especially when your grade isn’t what you expected. But before you spiral, take a step back. Your mark doesn’t define your intelligence or potential—it simply reflects your current academic writing skills. And skills? They can be improved.
Instead of seeing feedback as criticism, try viewing it as a roadmap to better grades. Every comment is an opportunity to refine your argument, strengthen your writing, and improve your next assignment.
Our most recent blog post explores:
✅ How to shift your mindset when receiving feedback (whether from your marker or tutor)
✅ The role of markers and how they assess assignments objectively
✅ Strategies for using feedback to strengthen your academic writing
✅ Why feedback is essential for long-term academic success
At GradeWise, we help psychology students understand their feedback, develop their academic writing, and build the confidence to submit stronger work. Whether it’s proofreading, assignment feedback, or academic writing tutoring, we provide the support you need—not just for one assignment, but for your entire degree.
So, if you’ve just received a disappointing grade, don’t panic. Embrace the feedback. Apply it. Grow from it. Your future self (and your future grades) will thank you.

We love hearing about your wins—and this one’s worth celebrating!
This fourth-year student came to us with strong grades but was aiming to push into the next grade bracket. For this assignment, we provided detailed feedback directly tied to the rubric and assignment question, as well as flagged questions their marker might raise.
By stepping back and objectively viewing their work through this outside perspective, this student refined their draft, addressed key areas we flagged, and strengthened their arguments.
The result? An impressive 86/100 (HD) and fantastic feedback from their university marker!
We’re so proud of their hard work and proactiveness. We are excited to see what they achieve next.
Congrats on kicking off the academic year with such a strong start 😊

We absolutely love hearing about your success on assignments we’ve supported!
This student used both our tutoring and proofreading services. As a first-year student, this was one of their first lab reports.
Since they were uncertain after their last assignment and grades, we began with a pre-writing session. In this session, we reviewed the assignment guide and rubric to fully understand what markers were looking for. The student left with a planned outline detailing what is typically expected in each section of a lab report (especially the introduction), which they referred to while conducting a literature review and beginning their writing. We then proofread and provided feedback on their final draft, followed by another one-on-one tutoring session to address any remaining questions or concerns before submission.
The skills and insights we provided for this assignment will benefit this student well into the future. I (Madeleine) was genuinely impressed with the quality of their work, especially the depth of research they put in! It’s safe to say their markers were, too—earning 82% on one of your very first research reports is something to be very proud of!

It’s that time of year—grades are coming back, and we love seeing our students succeed!
This message is from a third-year student we’ve had the pleasure of supporting throughout the semester, and it’s been wonderful to see their academic writing improve.
For this literature review draft, we provided extensive feedback through our proofreading and feedback services, focusing on enhancing their thesis statement, flow, and the strength of their evidence.
By closely referring to the assignment rubric, we flagged areas where they were meeting (and where they weren’t meeting) HD criteria.
We identified parts of their research that didn’t contribute effectively to their argument and highlighted sections that needed strengthening.
This allowed the student to refine their points, strengthen their arguments, and cut down their word count to stay within the limit.
This student truly earned their HD mark—congratulations!
