Our Story
The UTS FinTech Society is a student-run organisation dedicated to Financial Technology (FinTech), an emerging industry transforming online financial services. Our mission is to raise awareness about this sector across all disciplines and faculties, and offer a career path to students who are passionate information technology and financial services.
The society aims to develop knowledge of FinTech-related topics (such as blockchain, digital currencies, peer-to-peer FinTech apps and AI) among students, and provides them with opportunities to develop useful employability skills too.
This is achieved by students' cross-faculty collaboration and engagement with industry professionals., including design workshops, discussion panels and networking nights where members can interact with representatives from the FinTech industry. Students who are keen in Business and IT are highly encouraged to join and participate in our activities.
Membership is $5 for new and returning members.
