Some people think that the comfort zone is only made up of pleasant situations, which generate feelings of pleasure and happiness, but this is not true. Contrary to what some think, the comfort zone is made up of all the situations we are used to, whether good or bad.
Throughout life, there are several opportunities that we give up for fear of leaving our comfort zone and fear of facing the new. The edge of the comfort zone is like a psychological barrier that prevents us from facing new challenges and improving our quality of life. If we do a quick reflection, we may realize how much we delay our personal and professional development for fear of something that is unfamiliar to us.
Getting out of the comfort zone allows us to do amazing things! When we start flying on our own and reach new directions, we become the architect of our life and the only person responsible for our happiness.
Now, tell me. Are you afraid of leaving your confort zone? 🌻

When I was younger and I started traveling overseas, I was always a little bit embarrassed of my accent. 😌
I was afraid people wouldn't understand me and I wouldn't be able to communicate.
But as time went by, I realized everyone has an accent! ☺️
Even when you speak your own language, you have an accent. So accents make us unique.
What is important is to learn how to pronounce words properly, no matter your accent.
Watching movies, listening to songs, audiobooks and active listening are all tools that will help us learn how to pronounce words properly. Pronunciation makes the difference in how we communicate. 😍

My accent means I'm intelligent in two languages 🌻
My accent is my superpower! I always say that I have an "Alinean" accent, because it became a mix of all my experiences: learning American English at school, living in Canada for over 2 years, now in Australia for almost 6, mixing a few British words with it (and never knowing when to use S or Z 😅), and my Brazilian blood bringing the seasoning on top ❤️
Everyone has an accent! Even in your first language. Accents are natural, and they're part of your identity 💛
What you should worry about is pronunciation, because that's gonna help you communicate clearly and be understood.
The more people understand you, the more confident you get to speak more 💪
So now you know where to put your focus on.
Share this post with a friend who needs to know that too 🌻

Thank you, Australia 🤍🇦🇺
It took me time to process this closure. The plan was to travel for 6 months and go back to my house, job, dog, "stability", but life takes turns, and I embrace it (as I always do) 🙏
I left without saying a lot of goodbyes, but with a lot of faith in my heart that it was the right decision. Nothing was wrong, and I actually left when I was living "my best life" there, but my heart was searching for more.
I wanted to post so many photos, with all the amazing people I met and the wonderful places I've visited during my 5 years Down Under, but it'd be unfair, so I picked just one pic.
I never loved Australia, but I was always grateful for the opportunities and growth I had there 🤍 If there's something I can say that I REALLY tried! I tried to like it, I tried to make it home. I really put myself out there, I met people, I went to different places, joined different groups, events, meetups, church, I travelled, I moved to different cities and I have no regrets!
I'm thankful for each one of my friends for your love, help and support. Thanks for loving and accepting me regarding of where I choose to live. You'll always have a place in my house and in my heart ❤️
Thank you, Australia, for being the best life school I could enrol for. I entered broken, empty, sick, lost, a student and I left whole, loved, business owner, driver, teacher. 🙏
What a journey! I learned so much! But it's also wise to know when it's time to leave. I've outgrown myself, and Australia got too small for me. It's time to conquer the world! 🌎
But I'll come to visit, the land Down Under 🇦🇺 keep transforming people. You're a good land 🙏
Yesterday, I changed my phone number, the one I used for the past 5 years, and that for me symbolised the beginning of a new chapter.
I don't know where this road is gonna take me, but I'm excited and grateful.
Thank you, Oz, for making me a better person. Now it's time to go 🤍

Chile 🇨🇱
I'll need a few posts to talk about Chile, but this is an appreciative post to my beautiful friend so I'll write it in Portuguese. Please click on "see translation" if you can't read it 🥰
