Happy International Day of Play!
At Children First, we know that play is so much more than just fun - itโs the heart of how children learn, grow, and connect. Our philosophy is built on the belief that play sparks curiosity, nurtures creativity, and supports every childโs development in meaningful ways.

In our learning spaces, itโs the quiet moments with a book and a caring educator that help children feel safe, seen, and inspired. ๐๐

Today we participated in National Simultaneous Storytime โ an annual event where children all across Australia read and enjoy the same story at the same time, celebrating the joy of books, literacy and storytelling. ๐โจ
This yearโs story was Luna Roo: The Kangaroo Baller by Adam Jackson and Adrian Lloyd, illustrated by Jake Minton. The children loved listening to the story and joining in on this special shared reading experience with millions of children around the country! ๐ฆ๐

๐ค๐โค๏ธ This week is National Reconciliation Week (27 May - 3 June,2026)
This National Reconciliation Week, weโre going All In.
All In is a call for every one of us to actively commit to reconciliation - not just during this week, but every day. It reminds us that reconciliation isnโt something we watch from the sidelines. It requires action, learning, listening, and respect from all Australians, young and old.
Reconciliation is not the sole responsibility of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Itโs a shared journey - one that wonโt move forward unless we all play our part.
By being All In, we help create a future built on understanding, truth, and meaningful change.
