💚SASS APPRECIATION WEEK💚
This week we celebrated the incredible School Administrative and Support Staff (SASS) who are the heart of our school community! 🌟

From the moment our families walk through the gates, our SASS are there — welcoming, supporting, organising, problem-solving, caring and making sure our school runs smoothly every single day.

They are the friendly faces in the office, the helping hands behind the scenes and the people who know that sometimes it’s the little things that make the biggest difference. 💕

Thank you for everything you do for our students, staff and families, your dedication, kindness, expertise and unwavering support make our school a better place every day.

This afternoon we had a special visitor from the Police Rescue Unit. Mr Jervis showed us the truck and special equipment used in tricky rescue operations. 🚔👮🏼‍♀️⛑️🛟
We asked him a lot of clever questions and some of us got to feel the weight of the heavy armour that Mr Jervis wears to protect himself, while others took turns sitting up in the truck. 🤩 I have a feeling that some students may have a new ‘What do you want to be when you grow up?’ answer, if asked around the dinner table tonight.
Thank you, Mr Jervis! What a great experience.

✨ A NIGHT TO CELEBRATE OUTSTANDING LEADERSHIP! ✨

Congratulations, Mrs Sweetman! 🌿💙

I was incredibly proud and privileged to attend the Metropolitan South & West Principal Network Awards Ceremony to celebrate the wonderful achievement of Mrs Sweetman, who was recognised for Excellence in Educational Leadership.

This award is a wonderful acknowledgement of her passion, leadership and tireless work in Aboriginal Education — championing culture, strengthening connections and creating greater opportunities for Aboriginal students, families and communities. 🌿

And what made the evening even more special was celebrating alongside our Menai High neighbours, with Mrs Walker also recognised for her outstanding contribution to her school and community. 💙

Two exceptional educators. Two incredibly deserving recognitions. One very proud celebration of public education. ❤️

Nights like this remind us of the incredible difference passionate educators make — leading with purpose, serving their communities and ensuring every student has the opportunity to thrive.

🥈 SECOND PRIZE REVEAL GENEROUSLY DONATED BY OUR FRIENDS Rocksalt Menai 🍽️✨

We’re so excited to reveal another incredible prize in our Father’s Day Raffle, with a total prize pool worth OVER $1,500! 🎟️

Our 2nd Prize is a $200 RockSalt Restaurant Voucher, generously donated by our wonderful friends rocksaltmenai. 🤍

We are incredibly grateful to RockSalt for supporting our school and giving back to their local community. Generous donations like this make such a difference to our P&C fundraising and help us continue supporting our students and school.

And what a prize! One lucky winner will have $200 to spend at RockSalt and enjoy a beautiful meal on them. 🍽️
