Rallis School of Greek Dance

RSGD prides itself on its innovative approach to teaching and unique way of combining the traditional and modern Greek dance.

Our classes are designed to promote confidence, enthusiasm and develop self-esteem. Our aim is to enable all students to reach their full potential, improve their skills and techniques, and to most importantly, embrace Greek traditions and a love for Greek dance. Classes comprise of children from as young 4 years of age through to young adults. Our curriculum instils incomparable technique while striving for a greater sense of artistry, clarity, grace, athleticism, speed and musicality. Our children dance and perform with pride and passion while embodying the true spirit of Greek culture. Greek dances are expressions of historical significance and cultural pride. The RSGDSYD repertoire consists of both Mainland and Greek Island dances. From the most traditional tunes to contemporary beats, we dance to tell a story… to express our past, present and future. Elaborate traditional folk costumes are hand crafted to compliment the dances performed from many regions across Greece and Cyprus. The elegant beauty in the stitchery and tasteful accents of jewellery combined with dramatic colour brings the spirit of Greek dance to life! Allow our school to take you on a journey to a time we may not have lived in, but an era we definitely fell in love with.
