A 30 per cent cap increase to the number of places available to nationals from countries with which Australia has a capped Work and Holiday (subclass 462) visa arrangement in 2022–23 only.
Commencing on 1 July 2022:
- Brazil – new arrangement with 500 places
- Mongolia – new arrangement with 100 places
- Slovak Republic — cap increase from 200 to 1000 places
- Hungary and Austria — cap increase from 200 to 500 places
- Italy and Denmark – age increase from 30 to 35 years.

Switzerland to access Work and Holiday (subclass 462) visa!
Switzerland has become the 45th country to have access to Australia’s Working Holiday Maker visa program.
From 1 January 2022, young people from Switzerland, aged between 18 and 30, can apply to stay in Australia for one year and undertake short-term work and study while holidaying.
The Swiss Government has also announced that Australians can travel to Switzerland without a visa from 1 January 2022.
