Today, your Australian Google homepage honours Yidinji and Meriam man, actor, playwright and human rights activist, Uncle Robert ‘Bob’ Maza AM. A pioneer whose work laid the foundations for authentic, contemporary First Nations representation across the Australian Arts and media landscapes. His commitment to ensuring Indigenous Peoples told Indigenous stories was further realised when he co-founded the National Black Theatre in Sydney in 1972.
