Robin Trower is three score and nineteen (79), looks older than my grandfather ever did, but still plays a great Hendrix pastiche as seen here with some much younger musicians. He makes it look so easy!🙏

YouTube has become my main source of home entertainment and Paula Hermosin is a favourite. Here she covers the music of the great Argentinian songwriter, Atahualpa Yupanqui, whose music was introduced to me by Catalan musician, Òscar Briz.🙏

One of the channels I follow and frequent on YouTube is the Spanish guitarist (and sometimes philosopher) Paola Hermosin. Today she posted this fantastic piece, which she discusses for the first four minutes and then plays through. Five stars from me!🙏

My brother John Frick posted a pic from our Smokehouse Blues Club adventures in 1990 and so I figured I'd throw this one out there too.
John had just started The Blues Broers with our mate Rob Nagel and I had formed The Blue Stones with my bro Mervyn Woolf from our Flaming Firestones days. This is from an early gig when the stage was still on the North wall and Ted Bauman sat in on bass until Rufus Wainstain took over.
Also, take the chance to free download John's latest rock'n'roll escapade with The Codrays (The Codray Brothers) in the Netherlands. Download link (valid until the 18th of March only): https://we.tl/t-HT0HT9jQbu

At the middle of January this year, I celebrated 25 years in business as a self-employed engineering consultant, with much gratitude to my principal client, James Hardie Australia. Thanks Darren S, Darren C, Lindsay H, Jorge P et al.
Thanks also to David Beneke and past cohorts like John Cottier and Anthony Milostic. Vale to Doug Irvine of Ultrafloor and Peter Allsopp to whom I was an associate.
Along the way there was music too (three albums of the which the most recent below was produced by John Frick in the Netherlands, and there was plenty of writing (three novels completed, but awaiting formal publishing).🙏

Recently started a new association with David Beneke Consulting to continue with the investigative engineering work that I did for almost 20 years with Peter Allsopp who has now retired and office shut.
Any issues with your buildings or construction sites, for example building defects, failures and/or contract disputes, please contact me.

Did an engineering inspection today at the Capitol Theater and asked the manager about the current show they have running "Charlie & the Choc Factory".
I get home, go on the internet and first pop-up add is for that same production. Wow, I knew this modern spyware caper was bad, but didn't realize to what extent! They must have tracked my iphone or had voice recognition AI react to keywords of my conversation via the phone's mic. Not acceptable!

One of the joys of being an engineer is having to go up the side of a 45-storey building in a swing-stage (cradle) all the way to the top to assess the balustrades. It's the tall one up the middle of the pic, Quay Street, Sydney CBD.
