After 12.5 years, I’ve made the very hard decision to close my speech pathology practice. Today is our last day!! It’s not a decision I’ve made lightly, because supporting children and their families has been one of the greatest privileges of my life.
To the incredible families I’ve worked with — thank you. You welcomed me into your homes, trusted me with your children, and allowed me to walk alongside you through challenges, milestones, and moments of pure joy. The impact you’ve had on my life is immeasurable.
I want to acknowledge the extraordinary strength I’ve seen in parents living with disability. Your advocacy, your determination, and the love you pour into your children is something I will always admire. You’ve taught me more about resilience, courage, and community than any textbook ever could.
I also want to recognise our beautiful administrative assistant, Paula, who will be finishing up alongside me. Paula has been such an important part of our practice — her dedication, kindness, and the genuine relationships she has formed with families have meant so much. She has supported not only the day‑to‑day running of the business, but also the heart of it, and I’m deeply grateful for everything she has brought to our team.
I will miss every one of you — the conversations, the progress, the laughter, and the shared victories. Closing this chapter is emotional, but I’m so grateful for the years we’ve had together and the memories we’ve created.
