To our followers and all those families who have supported Calm Play Sensory over the past 3 years we are so sad to write that we have made the decision to leave our beautiful business behind.

We hope that we can pass it onto someone who will continue to provide beautiful sensory play to little ones in the shire.

We have absolutely loved this journey. What started out as a passion project, setting up sensory play for our friends kids, to starting regular playgroups and being full almost every week! We then had so much interest in starting parties and were overwhelmed by the amount of bookings we had coming through over the year! We constantly had requests for more playgroups and we truly believe this business has so much potential for someone who will give it much more time and energy.

The reason for our decision is due to our strong passion in both our other careers. Kelly working in early childhood education is so dedicated to her work and doing her part for our little people who need high quality early childhood services. Emmaly working in special education is very passionate about her work and is growing in her career at the most wonderful school for Autism.

With growing families in the future we simply just can’t do it all, we want to be present for our children when we aren’t teaching and so we needed to balance our time and energy into what’s most important for us right now.

So the time has come to make this big decision and we truly hope to see Calm Play Sensory still running, the shire needs more nature play!

Thank you so much for all the love and support! We will truly miss seeing all our regular playgroup families and setting up beautiful sensory parties.

Why Nature Play?

Playing in nature stimulates creativity and problem-solving skills integral to executive function development which is required for lifelong success.

Spending time in nature reduces stress and behaviour in young children. Children who play and spend time in nature have increased concentration and cognitive skills, greatly reducing ADHD/ADD symptoms.

SPRING SUMMER SENSORY PLAY 🌞

We are back for our spring/ summer outdoor sensory play sessions!

This term we will have pop-up style sensory play sessions each week. These sessions will vary days and times each week between Thursday, Friday and Saturday’s.

Each week we will put up the session day and time for the following week so you can book in. Please note these sessions will book out fast so be sure to book your spot!

SPRING 🌸

We have officially ended our winter sessions and we are so excited for warmer air and florally nature play!

We have three sessions left of Term 3 and these sessions will remain on a Thursday with a very slight time shift. Please take note of the half hour time shift.

🌸 New time: 10:00-11:00am

We had some great feedback for a change in our sessions for Term 4 and so we are going to move to pop-up sessions! This means… sessions will be on either a Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or Saturday morning. Each week will be different and will be available to book the week before. Due to warmer weather the time will likely be around 9:30am. More info to come on Term 4 in the coming weeks.
