Acting For Mindfulness (AFM) emerged during the time of COVID and it is a pathway for individuals and groups from culturally diverse backgrounds to access creative acting practices and performance. It is flexible & can be online and/or face-to-face with participants coming from all over Australia and internationally who want to give acting a try, particularly tapping into mindfulness, breathe work and relaxation practices.

Congratulations to Jonathan Nguyen and Thomas Masihi for successfully completing all AFM programs this year! Jonathan's notable achievement includes working as a featured extra on Paramount+'s "Last King of the Cross," while Thomas has been involved in an upcoming major TV show in Australia, even amidst their participation in AFM programs. Their dedication and contributions to the industry are commendable.

Given their talent and accomplishments, it would be exciting for audiences to have the opportunity to see Jonathan and Thomas on the big screen. Their performances and involvement in these projects are sure to captivate viewers and showcase their skills as emerging talents in the entertainment industry.

We did it! Our next cohort Thomas Masihi & Jonathan Nguyen have just complete Acting For Mindfulness final session. 5 hours work on monologues & a headshot shoot.

Real proud of our emerging actors & myself and Takashi Hara are always stoke to be teaching this.

Our aim was to build a community making making creative practices assessible to all.

Special thanks to Quyen Chung (our former graduate) who’s since been kicking goals and been a part of numerous film projects.

Please join us in welcoming Thomas Masihi, the newest student participant of Acting For Mindfulness program in 2023!

We are excited to have him on board and can't wait to see the progress he makes in the program.

Thomas has already started his first online session with our talented trainers Takashi Hara and Maria Tran, who will guide him through the program's acting and mindfulness techniques.

We believe that the Acting For Mindfulness program will help Thomas develop not only his acting skills but also his mindfulness and emotional intelligence, which will benefit him both on and off stage.
