Launched in January 2023, we offer professional online training in food safety and infectious diseases for childcare, aged care and hospitality/food businesses. Despite great produce and a robust regulatory system, Australia continues to record 4 to 5 million cases of food poisoning each year. This translates to over 30,000 hospitalisations, 86 deaths and in excess of 1,000,000 doctors’ appointments. The enforcement of strict food safety laws is important, but knowledge and education in food safety is equally so. While the science of food safety is universal, how it translates into work practices is not and that’s because every industry is different. However, few industry specific food safety training courses were available and those on offer are of average quality and overpriced. The Food Safety eLearning Academy was established to provide high quality industry specific training solutions that are affordable and that deliver food safety knowledge and skills that can be applied on the job immediately. Meeting the obligations of the Australian New Zealand Food Standards Code as well as those set by other regulatory authorities requires the ability to prepare and manage a complex range of policies and procedures. It also demands an ongoing commitment to staff training. Our professional online training courses removes this burden, deliver peace of mind and provide the necessary proof of compliance. Training and education that's relevant and engaging, leaves a positive impression, is more likely to be adopted, improves performance, and helps shape workplace culture and employee behaviour. These are among the outcomes we strive to achieve.
