On Tuesday, we celebrated Motherβs Day with a beautiful afternoon shared with our children, mums, and grandmothers. π
The children enjoyed special experiences including nail painting, hair decorating, face painting, cupcake decorating, playdough, planting flowers and veggies together, and creating lovely flower bouquets for their loved ones. Families also shared a relaxing afternoon tea together.
It was wonderful to see so many smiles, special moments, and meaningful connections throughout the afternoon. Thank you to all the mums, grandmothers, and families who joined us to celebrate β€οΈ

Our children created a beautiful wreath which was presented at the Kenthurst War Memorial during the ANZAC Day community service.
Together, we shared a moment of silence to remember and show respect for the brave soldiers who served our country. This meaningful experience supported children in developing a sense of community, respect, and remembrance.
Thank you Rotary Club of Kenthurst for organising this special community event. β₯οΈ
Lest we forget.

Last week, the children watched our butterfly hatch from its chrysalis π¦
They observed closely, asked questions, and gently held it with so much care. It was such a beautiful moment of curiosity, patience, and connection with nature.
We then released the butterfly into the garden, and the children were thoughtfully concerned about its safety, wondering if birds might eat it. Since then, they have been excitedly looking around the garden, hoping to spot their butterfly again.Butterfly Kidz

Last week, we had some very special visitors from a nearby farm π₯
The children were so excited to meet the ducklings. They loved gently holding them, feeding them, and even helping to give them a little bath. It was beautiful to see how calm and caring they were, showing kindness and respect while interacting with the ducklings.
Although the children felt a little sad when it was time to say goodbye, we talked about how the ducklings needed to go back to their home on the farm with their mum and family. It was a lovely opportunity to explore care, empathy, and understanding.
Such a meaningful and joyful experience for everyone π

Quiet time moments β¨
During this calm part of our day, we support children with name writing through gentle 1:1 interactions.
Name writing is not just about early literacy, it also builds identity, confidence, and independence. For our school leavers, this small skill plays a big role in helping them feel ready and confident as they begin their school journey.
So special to see their focus and pride π

Our children at Dooral have been busy exploring the garden, carefully searching for caterpillars π
Following their curiosity and growing interest, weβve ordered a butterfly hatching kit from Butterfly Kidz and shifted our weekly curriculum to focus on the butterfly life cycle π¦
Over the next two weeks, children will be exploring each stage of this amazing transformation. We canβt wait for our kit to arriveβ¦ stay tuned for some exciting butterfly updates! β¨

πΈπ° Easter Celebration π£πΌ
What a beautiful day celebrating Easter with our little learners! We had the opportunity to visit Kenthurst Public School for their Easter Hat Parade, where children proudly showcased their creative and colourful hats.
It was so lovely to see their confidence shining as they walked in the parade, and all their hard work truly paid off. To make the day even more exciting, children were also able to choose special gifts as part of the celebration, which brought so much joy and excitement.
A big thank you to families for supporting the children in creating such amazing hats. We are so proud of each and every one of them π

This week in Dooral Kenthurst Early Learning Centre, we celebrated Persian New Year, Nowruz, with our children πΈ
We explored the beautiful Haft Seen setup, where each item represents hope, health, love and new beginnings in Persian culture. One of our educators shared the meaning behind the display, helping children build an understanding of different traditions and celebrations around the world.
As part of our experience, children planted flowers in recycled bottles, symbolising new life and fresh beginnings. They carefully filled the soil, gently placed their plants, and took ownership of caring for something of their own π±
This meaningful experience supported children to develop respect for cultural diversity, sustainability and a sense of belonging within our community.
