A week long stay on Cammeraygal Country to complete a beautiful big mural at the very entrance to their secondary campus. The mural is an extension of the original canvas i painted and centres on Uncle Max Dulumunmun Harrison’s (Yuin) story of Gurawal Whale Dreaming and the sacredness of Country and Place where the school stands. So happy to be able spend time and paint with Uncle Max’s Grandson Jack who also teaches at the school! It was great to also have so many of the staff and students come by and personally contribute to the mural to make it a real community project that honours Uncle Max’s story, teachings and legacy 🙏🏽🫶🏽🖤💛♥️
