✨ The magic of discovering something for the first time..

There’s something truly special about seeing the world through a child’s eyes, every sound, texture, question, and discovery is brand new and full of wonder.

At First Grammar Childcare, our educators intentionally create environments that invite children to explore, experiment, and follow their curiosity. Through open-ended materials and thoughtfully prepared environments, children are encouraged to ask questions, try new ideas, and experience the excitement of discovering something for the very first time.

It’s in these moments of wonder that confidence grows, creativity flourishes, and a lifelong love of learning begins. ✨

Group meals give children the opportunity to observe, imitate and learn from one another, from trying new foods to practising table manners. When children eat together in a relaxed, supportive environment, food becomes a positive experience rather than a challenge, helping build lifelong healthy habits.

Outdoor play isn’t optional at our First Grammar Centres 🌿

Fresh air, sunshine and movement are part of our daily routine to support healthy immune systems.

🎵 Finding Rhythm, Building Confidence! 🎵

At our First Grammar centres, we love seeing children thrive through music and movement! Our evidence-based Rhythm and Movement for Self-Regulation (RAMSR) program is more than just fun—it’s designed to support key skills like self-regulation, memory, and concentration.

Through engaging songs, rhythmic activities, and playful movement, children learn to focus, manage emotions, and feel confident in their abilities, all while enjoying the joy of music together. ✨

It’s an innovative approach to holistic learning, development, and well-being in early childhood and we couldn’t be prouder of the progress the children make every day!

Healthy habits isn’t just about what we eat, it’s about how we move!

At First Grammar our days are filled with climbing, balancing, dancing and outdoor play to support growing bodies, coordination and confidence.

13/03/2026

At First Grammar Childcare, our educators intentionally create opportunities for movement through music and shared play experiences, supporting the development of healthy habits from an early age. Playing instruments together encourages children to express their emotions, build rhythm and coordination, and strengthen their growing bodies through active engagement.

These shared musical moments nurture connection, teamwork and self-regulation, helping children understand that caring for their wellbeing includes moving their bodies, expressing their feelings and building positive relationships. Through joyful, active experiences, we are supporting lifelong healthy habits for both body and mind.

At First Grammar Fairfield, our teachers and children dressed up for Book Week to celebrate the joy of reading! 📚✨ Book Week is an exciting time that encourages children to dive into the world of stories, sparking their imaginations and fostering a lifelong love for reading.

Reading is essential for children as it develops language skills, enhances their creativity, and builds a strong foundation for learning. It helps them understand the world around them and boosts their confidence as they grow.

We are proud of the team and children for the wonderful enthusiasm they showed during Book Week! Keep reading, exploring, and imagining!

Dramatic play is a vital aspect of early childhood development, providing a safe space for children to learn, grow, and understand their environment and the people in it.
By providing diverse dolls and play items representing different cultures, children learn to appreciate and respect differences.
Caring for dolls allows children to practice empathy, nurturing, and caregiving. This role-playing can translate to real-life skills in caring for others and understanding emotions.

At First Grammar Fairfield, we take school readiness seriously and have developed a holistic approach to our school readiness curriculum. Our children learn to recognize and write their names through a variety of activities. These include writing their names in the sand, copying a printed version of their name onto whiteboards, and painting their name on paper, among other creative activities.

Additionally, our strong connections with local schools facilitate a smooth transition for the children. By communicating with these schools, we gather information on the expectations for incoming kindergarteners. This allows us to tailor our curriculum to prepare our preschoolers to meet and exceed these expectations, ensuring they excel in their new school environment.
