Training has begun for Applied Behavioural Analysis Therapy. I will now be doing shifts with Freedom Social Skills Thursday afternoons and Saturday mornings. I’m working towards becoming an ABA Therapist alongside with my Special Education Teaching position I do, Monday to Wednesday’s.

I spy with my little eye, Be Able tutoring services update! We have been working behind the scenes to ensure our services can remain engaging during online learning. Be Able is working closely with NSW health guidelines to be able to provide face to face tutoring programs. We want to assist in filling in the gaps that were missed during remote learning. For the last few weeks of Term 4 we will be relocating to Loftus. Our availability will be Thursdays and Fridays 9am-5pm and hoping to add more hours in 2022. Enquire now to book a spot! 🐝 📚 ✍️ 💻

Sharing this resource from a school I’ve taught on special education for almost 3 years, they’ve just done ‘Wellbeing Wednesday’. A lot of schools are doing this, and it’s absolutely amazing! 🌟

Sarah Walsh is an Australian Paralympic amputee athlete. She represented Australia at the 2016 Rio Paralympics in athletics. She has competed in the 2020 Summer Paralympics (occurring now), which will be her second round in the Paralympic Games.
Sarah and her family are wonderful. Sarah has been very generous over the past 2 weeks giving up her time to speak with the students at a Sutherland Shire primary school (one that I have taught on special education at for 3 years) about her achievements and the Tokyo Olympics! We are very thankful and proud of her efforts 🎉

A principal shared this letter with parents after hearing that Lockdown in NSW has been yet again extended and school may not return to “normal” until almost the end of Term 4 this year. I think this is very important for parents/careers to understand in supporting their children through this, as well as being aware of their own well being 💛 Please share, it may help a family more than you know!

We are working closely with NSW Covid Safe Guidelines to ensure that our services are up to date. Although much of what we do is face to face based, we do also offer one on one online support due to the current restrictions. We hope you are all staying safe and well.
