Our Learning Program at Kidsversity is planned and actioned in ways that support each individual child’s goals, skills and abilities. It is always made fun as it is based on each child’s interests!!

ADJECTIVES & VERBS
Our preschool children that have been exposed to a lot of literacy through reading and writing have recently been exploring more challenging literacy through learning about adjectives and verbs and how they can be used in sentences. This week we used our interest in monster trucks to explore this new learning topic 🛻 ✍🏼

Our caterpillars have been exploring their green thumbs with a lot of planting and gardening! Miss Denna, Miss Win and the children planted some beautiful plants, herbs and veggies in our garden this week as we welcome spring 🌼 🪴

Learning takes place at any time of the day! We love when the weather is shining so we can explore a variation of learning environments ✏️

It takes a big heart to help shape little minds 🫶🏻

This year we celebrated our fathers through learning and understanding more about how they are active members in our community. There were a lot of discussions within play and in classrooms about jobs, workwear, community responsibility and fathers. This stimulated a lot of conversation in our preschool classroom with the children about what they wanted to be when they grow up!

We had our first incursion of 2022 !! Thanks to Anthony from our children took part in learning all about bugs and insects !! Look at our children getting up close 🔎

Every child learns at a different pace, which is why our educators create goals based on each individual child’s strengths and abilities.

Aside from our Wednesday Basketball Class our Learning Program incorporates a lot of physical activity and opportunities for children to engage in exploring gross motor skills.
We believe strengthening our gross and large motor movements are key elements of learning as children are using these skills on a daily basis.

Phonics & Letters 🗣 🔤
When exploring letters in our Butterfly & Preschool Room our educators always ensure they accompany this learning with Phonics. In doing so children are exposed to the sounds each letter makes, setting an early pathway for reading and spelling.

Some of our past and current preschoolers have learnt this ability early on and has exposed them to reading from a young age, preparing them for a smooth transition into preschool.

Our favourite way to learn our phonics is through the Ants in the Apple song on YouTube and using our matching visual cards.
