Namaste to all 🙏🏼

Whenever I used to say something negative about myself, like "I'm so stupid!" My friend would playfully smack me and say, "Hey! That's my friend you're talking about!" I stopped saying horrible things about me and, over time, I stopped believing horrible things about me.

From, "I should have acted with more confidence" to "What if I acted with more confidence from now on?"

This international yoga day let's focus on health, not on body image.

Don’t be discouraged, don’t be elated. Simply focus on persistence. The path is not straight, it weaves and turns. It, like you is worth it though.

There comes a point when you have to let go and stop trying with some people. If someone wants you in their life, they’ll find a way to include you and not ignore your presence. Sometimes you just need to let go and accept the fact that they don’t care for you the way you care for them.

In India, Four Laws of Spirituality are taught:

The first law says:

“The person who arrives is the right person.”

No one comes to our life by chance, all the people who surround us, who interact with us, who we encounter, are there for a reason.

The second law says:

“What happens is exactly what’s supposed to happen.”

Nothing, absolutely nothing that happens in our lives could have happened in any other way. Not even the most insignificant detail.

There is no: “If I had done such a thing… this other thing would have happened…“ No. What happened was exactly what’s supposed to happen, and it had to be that way so we could learn the necessary lessons and move forward.

The third law says:

“Any time you start, is the right time.”

It all starts at the right time, not before, not after. When we are ready for something new to begin in our lives, it begins.

And the fourth and last law says:

“When something ends, it ends.”

Just like that. If something ended in our lives, it was for our own good, so it’s better to leave it there and move on, already enriched with that experience.

I think it’s not a coincidence that you are reading this, if this text reaches your life today; It is because you are prepared to understand that no snowflake ever falls into the wrong place!

I was driving down the motorway the other week and suddenly a thought popped into my mind; "Imagine if I just veered my car across into oncoming traffic".

Was I shocked? Was I horrified? No. I wasn't.
Why? Because I knew exactly what that thought was. It was an 'intrusive thought'.

BUT - if I didn't know about these thoughts I probably would have felt totally freaked out by this. I might have become anxious and panicky, I might have wondered if it meant deep down I wanted to hurt myself, I might have wondered what was wrong with me.

Intrusive thoughts are junk thoughts. They don't mean anything. In fact, they can actually be your brains way of trying to point out things you DON'T want to happen in order to keep you safe.

If you have experienced intrusive thoughts, you're not alone.

Remind yourself the thought is meaningless. Don't buy into it.
