🎉 Celebrating Teacher Assistant Appreciation Week 🎉

This week, we recognise and celebrate the outstanding Teacher Assistants who help make our school a wonderful place to learn, grow, and succeed.

Every day, our Teacher Assistants go above and beyond to support students, collaborate with teachers, and foster positive learning experiences. Their dedication, kindness, and professionalism has a lasting impact on our students and school community.

Thank you for the care, encouragement, and expertise you bring to your role each day. We appreciate all that you do and are proud to have you as part of the SPS team.

We celebrated another fantastic Book Week this morning! Thank you to families who came to our breakfast and/or parade and to Mrs Sparshott for taking our photos. So much effort goes into the creation of the costumes, well done to all. We will include a full gallery in next week's newsletter. 📸📚

Today, our Grade 6 Student Leaders attended the Vietnam Veteran’s Day Service at the Swansea War Memorial. Vietnam Veteran’s Day is held each year on the 18th August and this year marks 60 years since the Battle of Long Tan, a battle fought in wet and muddy conditions where 18 Australians lost their lives and 25 were wounded. With a sprinkling of rain at the service today, it was a reminder to us all of the conditions that our soldiers faced and the importance to stop and remember those who fought in Australia’s wars; their bravery, team work and endurance.

From drones to robots, seeds, native plants, and fossils, our classes are returning to school full of learning and new ideas. We’ve finished off a wonderful day with a play in the fabulous playground behind Ninja Stadium! Happy National Science Week (next week)!
