On Friday we celebrated Fathers Day by beginning with a scrumptious brekkie, followed by a liturgy in the hall celebrating the wonderful male role models in our lives. What an amazing turn out, thank you for joining us and we would like to wish you all a very Happy Fathers Day. A big thank you to year 6 for leading the liturgy with tributes and performances acknowledging all that you do.

Our Stage 2 and 3 students had an absolute ball at the Lakes Region Netball Gala yesterday. They learnt new skills and displayed a commitment to teamwork.

Last week some of our Aboriginal students travelled to St Mary’s College to participate in a Junior Aboriginal Education Consultative Group meeting (JAECG). We gathered with other First Nations students from our Catholic Community of Schools to share activities that we participated in during our NAIDOC celebration.
Our students shared the Swan weaving and yarning stick activity from our day and other schools shared ochre and art activities.
These collaborative opportunities enrich our communities.

Yesterday we were delighted to welcome children’s author Dr Cameron Stelzer to St Patrick’s!

Students across the school participated in engaging and inspiring sessions where Dr Cameron shared the inspiration behind his books and provided an insight into the creative process of becoming an author. Students were guided through creating their own illustrations and explored ideas for developing imaginative stories.

The students were fully engaged throughout the sessions, demonstrating incredible creativity, enthusiasm and a love of storytelling. We thank Dr Cameron Stelzer for inspiring our young readers and writers and helping bring the magic of books to life!

This term, Year 4 have been exploring photography as part of their Visual Arts learning with our intern, Miss Chantler.
Students have been experimenting with perspective, composition and creative ways to capture the world around them with some fantastic results!

Stage 3 had a brilliant day at the Smash Cricket Gala. Well done to all the students on their sportsmanship and can do attitude!
