Last Friday, we dedicated the afternoon to honouring our mothers and other important women in our lives. We pampered them at the nail station, baked delicious, iced biscuits, made flowers at the play dough station, and enjoyed some lovely colouring activities.
The sun even came out, allowing us to spend some time outside.

This morning, we had a wonderful time celebrating Holi, a special Hindu festival known as the Festival of Colours and Love.
It takes place on the last full moon of the lunar month and represents positivity and happiness.
To mark the occasion, we took part in a fun colour run.
With the help of educators, we set up an obstacle course in the front car park and handed out colours at different stations.
The children had a blast going through the course and collecting colours as they went. It was a joyous festival filled with lots of laughter and giggles.

Yesterday, the children from Ocean Adventurers went on their first trip of the year. Before leaving, we had a group chat about staying safe and made sure everyone was accounted for in the roll call.
Holding hands with their buddies, the children followed the educators out of the gates and walked to the nearby park. Along the way, they counted the ducks they saw and discussed the litter they noticed in the community.
At the park, the children took turns playing on the swings and showed great skills in sharing. Some of them even searched for natural materials and insects in the nearby bushland.
This experience aligns with the EYLF Framework and promotes language and social skills in a formal and professional manner along with building our engagement with the community.
