I aim to build trusting and loving relationships with the children to help them feel secure and a sense of belonging. Sarah’s FDC believes children are busy learning everyday through all developmental domains. My goal for FDC is to make the children’s learning environment safe, positive, fun and nurturing as I guide them with their development. Children should be given choices, responsibilities an
d opportunities to learn in their own way. I will observer children to help me plan individual programs for each child. By doing observations I will have better knowledge into the development and skill levels of each child in my care. I aim to provide healthy, nutritious and yummy food for the children. Provide positive learning experiences for children to develop healthy eating habits. Share multicultural food and food to meet each child’s daily nutritional needs. There for I want them to understand that they are to most important part of their child’s education. I would like to work with them to share learning opportunities to assist in their child to reach their potential. Parents who are able to spend time at my FDC to observe what goes on first hand are welcome to. This will help parents understand what/how children are learning during the day. For parents that are unable to because time can be an issue I aim to communicate with them in the way that suits their family needs best. Within my role as an educator I aim to follow policies, procedures and regulations to the best of my knowledge, if I am unsure I will always ask/seek advice from Eastern Region Family Day Care office or other Educator’s. I will further my knowledge and skills when I have the opportunity so I can always give 100% to my roll and to provide quality care to each child. The cost families pay to have their children in my FDC deserve the best.
