AD Space Presents 'Embodied Materialities', an exhibition by sculptural ceramic and textile artist - cumulating her research as an MFA Candidate at
Distinguishing the relation between our own flesh body and the earths clay body, Radge formally explores how materials are embedded with settler histories.
Initiated by Radge unearthing wild ochre clay near her home, this project narrates the subsequent development of her practice, centring the importance of fieldwork and revealing embedded material histories. Her titular MFA exhibition examines this situated embodied practice, offering new ways of working corporeally, materially and respectfully with wild clay on unceded lands.
The project is focused on two sites: her current home on the land of the Garigal, and a previous home on the land of the Anindilyakwa; Groote Eylandt.
Join us in celebrating these beautiful and intimate works at the opening of this exhibition next Wednesday, 23.07.25, 6 - 8pm.
Location: AD Space, E block Ground Floor, Paddington Campus
See you there! ⛰

AD Space Exhibition Opening: Fabricating X by nath gee 🌿🪡
Where: AD Space Gallery and Corridor
When: Opening 6pm April 1st, Cont. until April 21st.
‘Fabricating x’ is a group show based on the idea that experiences and textiles are often formed together, where the fibres that makeup textiles are synonymous with the intricacies that make up an experience.
This show aims to provide more breadth into this connection, highlighting how experiences can be translated into physical forms and entities. The focus on fibre is particularly crucial, where we see it as more than just the makeup of a textile, but instead can be a medium for storytelling. Focusing on all kinds of fibres and processes, this show ranges from wool fibres to bioplastics, to paper and bark fibres, to recycled garbage bags and chip packets.
