🌟 Celebrating the incredible teachers of OHR! 🌟

Today we celebrate all of our OHR teachers who go above and beyond every single day to make a difference in the lives of our students. πŸ’™

Teaching is so much more than lessons, books and classrooms. It’s about inspiring, encouraging, believing in, and nurturing our young people, helping them discover their strengths and supporting them to become the very best versions of themselves. 🌱✨

We are incredibly proud to celebrate one of our own, Mrs Hollow, who has been recognised in the feature β€œAustralia’s Best Teachers: Leading by Example.” πŸ“°πŸ‘

What a wonderful acknowledgement of the passion, dedication and difference she makes to our students and our school community.

Congratulations, Mrs Hollow! ❀️ And a huge thank you to every OHR teacher for the heart, care and commitment you bring to our students each and every day.

You are making a difference, and it matters. 🌟

The Maths Project students had a fantastic time visiting our Grade 5 & 6 classes to lead engaging problem-solving activities. πŸ§©βž•βž–

Working together, students tackled challenging tasks, shared creative strategies, and showed that maths can be about collaboration, critical thinking, and perseverance.

Well done to everyone involved for your enthusiasm, and excellent mathematical thinking! πŸ’™πŸ“š

A huge thank you to everyone who supported our Footy Day sausage sizzle last term! πŸŒπŸ‰

Thanks the students enjoyment of a sausage in bread, we were able to purchase some fantastic new sandpit toys for our students to enjoy this term. πŸͺ£πŸšœπŸ–️

Our sandpit is one of the most loved spaces in the playground, where students in all levels spend their breaks creating, building, imagining, and working together. Whether they're constructing roads and castles, digging for "treasure," or collaborating on big projects, sandpit play encourages creativity, problem-solving, teamwork, and imaginative thinking.

These new toys will bring even more opportunities for fun, learning, and exploration, and we can't wait to see what our students create next!

Teachers vs Students Basketball Showdown! πŸ€

What a fantastic game today as our teachers took on the students in an exciting basketball match!

The students played with great determination, teamwork and sportsmanship, keeping the teachers on their toes from start to finish. While the teachers managed to secure the win this year, the students put up a tough fight and should be incredibly proud of their effort.

Until next year....!
