Today I feel honoured to speak about one of the most vibrant and joyful festivals from India — Holi, also known as the Festival of Colours.

Holi is celebrated to mark the arrival of spring, the end of winter, and the victory of good over evil. It is a time when people come together, forget differences, and spread happiness, love, and positivity.

But have you ever wondered — why do we celebrate with colours?

Colours in Holi have a deeper meaning. Each colour represents something in life:
❤️Red stands for love and energy
💛Yellow represents happiness and knowledge
💚Green symbolizes new beginnings and growth
🩵Blue reflects calmness and strength

When we apply colours to each other, it breaks barriers of age, culture, and background. It reminds us that no matter where we come from, we are all equal and connected as human beings.

Meet Our Director 💙

We are pleased to introduce our Centre Director, Breanna, a dedicated early childhood professional with over five years of experience working across a variety of roles within the Early Childhood Education and Care sector.

Breanna holds a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care and maintains current professional training in Safe Sleep, Advanced Child Protection, CPR, First Aid, and Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management, ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and wellbeing for all children in our care.

As a mother of five, Breanna brings both professional knowledge and personal understanding to her role, recognising the importance of building strong, trusting relationships with families and creating an environment where children feel secure, valued, and supported.

Breanna is deeply passionate about child safety and fostering a strong child-safe culture within the service. Her leadership focuses on creating a nurturing environment where every child is supported to feel safe and confident to explore, learn, and develop. Through intentional practices and supportive relationships, children are encouraged to expand their knowledge, creativity, and skills while engaging in meaningful learning experiences.

Outside of the centre, Breanna enjoys spending quality time with her family and pursuing hobbies such as camping, 4x4 adventures, and travelling, embracing opportunities to explore and create lasting memories.

We are proud to have such passionate leadership guiding our team and supporting the growth, wellbeing, and learning of every child in our care.

🌟 Group Time Discussion – Stranger Danger 🌟

Today during group time, we talked with the children about “Stranger Danger” and the importance of keeping safe.
We discussed who a stranger is, why it’s important not to go anywhere with someone we don’t know, and what to do if they ever feel unsure or unsafe.

The children shared their thoughts and ideas about safe adults they can trust, such as parents, teachers, and police officers. We also practised saying “No!” loudly and finding a trusted adult if they ever need help.

It was a really valuable discussion, helping children build awareness and confidence in making safe choices.

Exploring Sensory Play with Sand, Rice & Pasta 🌈✨
Today our preschoolers had an amazing time diving into a hands-on sensory experience! Using a mix of sand, coloured rice, and pasta, the children explored different textures, colours, and patterns while engaging their senses and imagination.
Sensory play is so much more than just fun — it helps children develop important skills such as:
👂 Language development — describing how things feel, sound, and look
🤲 Fine motor skills — scooping, pouring, and sifting strengthen little hands and fingers
🧠 Cognitive growth — experimenting, observing, and problem-solving through play
💬 Social skills — sharing ideas and working together with friends
It’s wonderful to see their curiosity come alive as they create, explore, and discover! 💕
