Thereâs no âperfect ageâ to start strength & conditioning.
Strength & conditioning can mean a lot of different things. Itâs not just about lifting weights.
For young athletes, it can involve developing movement skills, motor control, coordination, balance, strength, speed, power, jumping, landing and learning how to move their body effectively.
When itâs age-appropriate, properly coached and progressed over time, strength & conditioning can play a huge role in an athleteâs long-term development.
The focus should always be on how they train, not simply how old they are.
If youâre interested in how strength & conditioning can be incorporated into your childâs training, comment âtrainingâ.
