A big thank you to Deer Park Football Club for having me out to present on the importance of enhancing in-season footy performance.
Over the two nights, I had the opportunity to present to the U14s and U16/18s on strategies they can apply to their training, recovery, nutrition, and preparation to help maximise performance throughout the season.
Great to see so many players engaged and eager to learn ways they can improve both on and off the field.
First step speed is one of the biggest separators in footy.
That first movement creates space, wins contests, closes down opponents, and gives you time with the ball before pressure arrives.
The quicker your first step, the quicker you change the game.
Guess we aren’t all equally athletic 😅
