What an unforgettable week at the 2026 Karate Australia National Championships in Hobart, Tasmania! 🏆
We were incredibly proud to have 22 Team Samurai athletes representing Victoria on the national stage, competing at an event that truly felt like a world class tournament.
A special shoutout goes to our 6 first time Nationals competitors who are all incredible Under 14 girls, who stepped onto the biggest stage in Australia with courage, determination, and outstanding performances! 💪
Our team delivered an outstanding result, bringing home an incredible 18 National Championship medals:
🥇 4 Gold
🥈 6 Silver
🥉 8 Bronze
A huge congratulations to James Sanders and Emily Nguyen, who, through their exceptional performances this season, have officially earned selection to represent Team Australia at the WKF World Junior & U21 Championships in Poland this October!✈️What an amazing achievement!
Thanks to the hard work of every athlete across the state, Karate Victoria topped the medal table, winning an incredible 47% of all Gold medals at the championships. 🔥💙
