Background

I hold a Bachelor of Science with a major in Chemistry and a minor in Biochemistry, and have worked with senior secondary students across Specialist Mathematics, Mathematical Methods, and Chemistry since 2021.

Students I’ve worked with over recent years have achieved ATAR results including 99.35, 99.25 (Dux) and multiple results in the mid-to-high 90's.

My focus is on structured preparation, clear reasoning, and sustainable study habits.

How I approach tutoring

My sessions are built around structured scaffolding — meeting students where they are and progressively increasing independence and difficulty over time.

I place strong emphasis on clear reasoning and deliberate practice, with the expectation that struggling and making mistakes are a necessary part of learning new skills, not something to avoid.

Errors are treated as information: they show where understanding breaks down and how to move forward more effectively.

I also take a holistic view of learning, recognising that sleep, routine, stress, and motivation outside of school directly affect academic performance.

Where appropriate, I model the habits and mindset I expect from students, aiming to build confidence, resilience, and long-term study efficacy rather than short-term gains alone.
