🦈 Ocean Life 2026 🦈
Today we had our yearly visit from the Sea Life Oceanlife Program team, who brought sea cucumbers, sea urchins, sea stars and a baby shark!
The children got involved in ocean-themed activities, and at the end of the show, they each got to meet a freshwater turtle and give him a pat hello!
Thank you, Sea Life, for this informative, fun and interactive incursion!

Oceanside’s Community Snake - Inspired by Miss Katie and our Toddler friends 🐍🌈
As some of you may have already seen, Oceanside’s Community Snake has begun! The Toddler children each painted a rock to get the snake started, and Miss Katie found the perfect rock that represented the head.
They then headed out to the front enclosed garden, to listen to Miss Issy read ‘The Book of Country Land’, which has the snake story in it. The children found this fascinating and couldn’t wait to get their own snake started.
The Toddlers lined up with their painted rocks and each handed theirs to Miss Katie, so Miss Katie could add them to the snakes head to represent the body.
This is such a wonderful experience and anyone can add! Older siblings that visit us are also joining in on the fun! Simply find a rock at the beach, park or from around your home, paint it with whatever makes you happy, bring it along with you and add it to the snakes body!
Such a beautiful experience that brings us all together in a place where we all belong 💚

Oceanside’s Community Walks just got a whole lot better! We always see some sort of wildlife, whether it be ducks, fish, the occasional lizard scurrying across the footpath. But TODAY, we saw 2 beautiful swans 🦢🦢
They were so very friendly and let Miss Steph feed them lettuce 🥬
Safe to say the children were thrilled! And it’s a special treat when one of our beautiful mum’s can come along to join in on the fun 🩷

Nursery One culinary class with Miss Angie! What an experience, with the children learning patience, turn taking, fine motor skills with topping and pouring the ingredients. And what a special delight to eat banana bread, created by their very own selves, for afternoon tea 🍌

Dental2U 🦷🪥
It’s anyways such a pleasure when Dental2U visit us. It was extra special because for the first time, we had a show from the dentist, explaining to the children everything there is to know about brushing your teeth, there were also demonstrations involved with the children practising.
We also learnt more about healthy foods and not so healthy foods, and teaching us the importance of brushing morning and night.
It was then explained to us what to expect in the dental examination. Which everyone was super excited for, asking lots of questions in the process!

🖤❤️💛💚💙🤍 At Green Leaves Early Learning, we’re proudly All In for National Reconciliation Week 2026 🖤❤️💛💚💙🤍
From 27 May to 3 June, we come together to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every day.
Reconciliation starts with all of us, including our youngest learners. Through moments of curiosity, storytelling, music, art and connection, children begin to build understanding, respect and a sense of belonging.
Because every small conversation, shared experience and learning moment helps us to build towards a more inclusive future, together.
