Another successful Fathers Day celebration for our Oceanside families today 💙🥸

It’s so beautiful to see our children’s faces as their special person comes in to celebrate this special day. We had such a large variety of experiences planned for everyone to join in on, from hammer boards, photo booths, biscuit making, play dough, and ball games just to name a few. The experiences the educators created were so much fun that there wasn’t a single moment where no-one was smiling.

Thank you to all of you who were able to make it and thank you to all the efforts from our wonderful educators! And let’s not forget Chef Alex for the amazing spread of delicious foods!

From 22 August to 28 August, we celebrated Book Week 2026 as we shared in the magic of books, stories, and imagination, inspiring a lifetime love of reading and storytelling 📖 ✨

Celebrating this year’s theme, ‘Symphony of Stories’, our Educators and children stepped out of the pages of their favourite stories, bringing their beloved characters to life with vibrant colours and costumes.

Today, we celebrated our beautiful Educators, and I cannot thank you all enough for being such a kind, caring, and dedicated Team who truly adore and love all of our little people in our care.

The passion each of you shows each day makes for a brighter place, where happiness shines not just from you, but also from the children.

I would also like to say a MASSIVE thank you to Oceanside’s Health & Wellbeing Partner, Miss Maryanne, for offering the most relaxing Reiki sessions to each educator here today. What a thoughtful gift to give us on such an important day.

I truly am blessed with the best team, and I couldn’t be more grateful.

It was the best week of princesses, superheroes, Where’s Wally’s, Dr. Seuss, with Thing 1, Thing 2, and Cat in the Hat. We had tradies, crayons, Care Bears, and the whole cast of Alice in Wonderland! 💚

What a thoughtful, kind, and caring moment we experienced today 💚

Our little friend from Nursery Two, Kymani, and his beautiful mother, Kadi, made us all a delicious lunch as an early Educators Day gift, as they are on holiday next week and won’t get to celebrate with us on the day.

Kadi is from West Africa and made the most mouth-watering dishes from her home culture.

Thank you so much, Kadi and Kymani, for such a thoughtful and delicious lunch treat! We truly are blessed with the most amazing families and are so thankful to you!

🔬🧬🧫 Science Week 2026 🧫🧬🔬

‘Seeds of science: nurturing knowledge for all’

Best week ever here at Oceanside! We kicked off our Science Week with Bev from Kids Lab, who performed her amazing acts of science. Bev has been visiting us for a few years now and never disappoints!

This was followed by science experiments each day, fun by our clever and inventive Educators. These are some of the experiments below:

🌈 Rainbow skittles swimming in milk to run the colours
🤎 Thick oozy slime that looks like mud for the animals to ‘play’ in
🌋 Shaving foam, food, and vinegar, creating a slow-moving eruption
🏖️ The classic bicarb and vinegar in our hand-made volcanoes or our sandcastle volcanoes
🫧 Bubble creations

Plenty of smiles, wonder, and excitement all week!
