🐢🌊 Ocean Life Education Visit 🌊🐢

What an exciting day we had yesterday with our special visitors from Ocean Life Education! Our little learners had the opportunity to get up close and personal with a variety of fascinating marine creatures.
The children were engaged, curious and full of questions as they learned about life beneath the ocean’s surface.
A big thank you to the Ocean Life Education team for providing such an interactive and memorable experience for our children 💙🐠⭐️🐚

🚔👮‍♂️ A Day to Remember for Our Kindy Children! 👮‍♂️🚔

There were smiles from ear to ear today as our Kindy children enjoyed a very special visit from Senior Constable Daniel and Senior Constable Lachie!

The children had the incredible opportunity to explore the police car and motorbike up close, sit in the driver’s seat, turn on the lights and sirens, chat through the radios, and learn all about the important role police officers play in keeping our community safe.

A huge thank you to Senior Constable Daniel and Senior Constable Lachie for taking the time to visit us and provide such and engaging and exciting experience for our children. We are so grateful for your support and for helping make today one our little learners will be talking about for a long time! 🚔💚

🌿 We loved welcoming Uncle Pete from Sunshine Songlines for his monthly visit today. Through music, storytelling and hands-on experiences, our children enjoyed learning about First Nations culture and traditions.

🌈🎨🫧 International Day of Play 🫧🎨🌈

Crazy hair & dress ups were all around Birtinya today for International Day of Play! The childrens voices guided our day, laughter and smiles filled our learning hubs, and overall enjoyment from our fun-filled day! 💚✨

Salt + Glue + Watercolour Paint = shape and colour recognition fun for our Toddler children! 🌈🎨

✉️💚 Our Kindy children have been busy connecting with their pen pals at our sister centre, Oceanside.

The children worked together to create a special book and poster showcasing all the wonderful learning experiences, adventures, and activities they have been enjoying.

What a fantastic way to build connections, communication skills, and a sense of community while celebrating all the amazing things happening in Kindy! 🌿📚☺️

Our little learners have been busy exploring their 5 senses this week 👀👂👅👃✋

Through sensory play, tasting experiences, textures, colours and hands-on learning, our children have been discovering the world around them in meaningful and engaging ways 🌈✨

Sensory experiences help build curiosity, confidence, language development and important brain connections - all while having so much fun 💚

Today our children have been exploring and celebrating National Reconciliation Week through art, storytelling and hands-on learning experiences 🤎🖤💛

Together we are learning about respect, culture, connection and the importance of walking together towards reconciliation 🌿

From 27 May to 3 June, we come together to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every day.

Reconciliation starts with all of us, including our youngest learners. Through moments of curiosity, storytelling, music, art and connection, children begin to build understanding, respect and a sense of belonging.

Because every small conversation, shared experience and learning moment helps us to build towards a more inclusive future, together.
