This is a great example of using technology to meet all students where they are right now, in there learning. It means they get the opportunity to master a skill before moving on. Imagine if you are a student with low working memory or processing speed. Having the chance to listen and watch instruction at your pace, and repeat it as needed is gold!

The school year has started and their is a few new things in my student room.

Week 1 and 2 of School for the year and my catch phrase is:

"They Can't Do It Alone."

It helps me remember they need my help and I want them to know.

"They Don't Have To Do It Alone."

Sometimes just knowing that helps.

Oh and I also saw Chicago The Musical a few weeks ago and the song is running on repeat in my head!

Going back to school is big for most children and sometimes even bigger for our neural diverse children. That's why it is important to remind them "They Don't Have To Do It Alone."

The start of a new school year can be hard for a child with a learning difference and for a parent.

Lets face it as a parent you have possibly had many meetings with the school, with learning support and with your students teacher. 𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐦𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐤 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐲𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐦𝐲 𝐤𝐢𝐝, 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐦𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐭 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐚 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐥.

Every parent with a child with Dyslexia or any learning difference has probably felt the dread of the new school year.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐟’𝐬 𝐬𝐰𝐢𝐫𝐥 𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝. 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐞.

This is one of the most incredible things I have seen. It is amazing what we humans can do when we harness our creative powers and apply our ability to train our mind and our body.
