In the afternoons, our centre cook Peter prepares a delicious and nutritious snack for children to enjoy on their way home. It’s a great way to finish the day and helps ensure children leave the centre with a full tummy and a smile.

Well done to Jess, who was voted this month’s Educator of the Month by our families in recognition of the positive impact she has made within our centre community. This initiative allows families to acknowledge the dedication, care, and strong relationships our educators build with children and families each day.

Literacy and reading are important in early years because they support children's language, communication and creativity. Through books, storytelling, songs and conversations children can build early skills needed for learning, relationships and future reading and writing success.

Our centre library has been set up to encourage children to develop a love of reading, storytelling, and literacy. Children can independently explore a variety of engaging books and are able to sign books in and out to take home in a library bag to enjoy reading with their families.

Recently, we celebrated our very first birthday with a fun afternoon shared with our families, children, and community. Everyone enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea, face painting, and a special smoking ceremony that made the celebration even more meaningful. A special thank you to Stockland Living and Undumbi Culture for attending and helping make our birthday celebration so special.

Every day, our educators and teachers make hundreds of small decisions that shape a child's confidence, joy and sense of belonging.
We measure impact through research and outcomes — but children experience it in the moments that matter most.
How safe they feel.
How curious they become.
How confident they grow.
This is Goodstart, through the eyes and voices of the children we're here for.

From January 2026, all Australian families eligible for CCS will be guaranteed at least 3 days a week (72 hours per fortnight) of subsidised early childhood education and care.
This landmark change — the 3 Day Guarantee — replaces the Child Care Subsidy Activity Test and means:
✅ Eligible families can save thousands each year
✅ Every child can access vital early learning opportunities
✅ Certainty for families who are working, studying, or looking for work
✅ Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families receive 100 hours per fortnight (up to 5 days a week)
At Goodstart, we believe all children deserve the best possible start in life with quality early learning at the heart of what we do. We’re here to help families make the most of these new changes.
