A huge thank you to all the families who were able to join us for our special Father’s Day Afternoon Tea last Friday! It was wonderful to see so many families come along and share this special afternoon with us. 💙

A very special thank you to Wildlife Unleashed for joining us and bringing along an amazing variety of reptiles and animals. 🐍🦎🐊 Everyone had such a fantastic time learning about and meeting the animals — what an incredible experience!

Here at Appleberries Burnside our senior side yard starts the day with their Acknowledgment to Country. This meaningful experience encourages the children to show respect for the Traditional Custodians of the land and reflect on the importance of caring for Country, people, and community. The children listened attentively, participated with confidence, and demonstrated a growing understanding of belonging and respect through this shared daily ritual.

Our Junior Kindy class has loved reading the story The Potato People 🥔

We explored the life cycle of a potato, learning how it grows roots and stalks, when it should be planted, and how to recognise when the potato has begun producing new potatoes of its own.

At our investigation station, we observed the stages of the potato's life cycle and made predictions about what we thought would happen next.

To celebrate our learning and our love of the story, we created our own potato people, using our imaginations to bring the characters to life.
