☀️ Letter Learning ☀️

This week our Kindy class enjoyed a letter learning lesson, whilst outside in the sunshine.
Our specialised Early Childhood Teacher, Ms Kim was able to talk with the children about letter formation with a beautiful demonstration. It was then time to let the children create, with lots of smiles and laughter!

This new approach to learning had all the children excited and eager to learn.

🌸 Potion Mixing 🌸

The children enjoyed the sunshine this week while making potions with flowers kindly donated by one of our families.

The children were curious and enthusiastic learners as they mixed, poured, measured, and combined both flowers and coloured water to create some magnificent potions, while also working on some basic mathematical skills.

Little voices were heard asking questions as we experimented with hypotheses in cause and effect and trial and error.

Our friends were able to show their abilities to take turns and work collaboratively together, with educators observing the children’s friendships and how they demonstrated a strong sense of belonging with so many positive peer interactions.

What a fun and engaging activity, with so many opportunities to learn through play!

This week, our Toddlers friends celebrated Reconcilation week with a beautiful outdoor set up.

The children were encouraged to view Indigenous culture through mark making with coloured sand and paddle pop sticks. These were inspired by the traditional colours, patterns and symbols often used in Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander culture.

Last Wednesday we sat together for National Simultaneous Story Day and read "Luna Roo the Kangaroo Baller". The Kindy children have been asking to read it each day, it has become a favourite of theirs.

This week is National Road Safety Week. A big thank you to Clayton's Towing for bringing along a tilt tray truck and crane buggy to our service this morning. The children loved getting up close to the vehicles and enjoyed the opportunity to sit inside and explore them.
