Please find below a message from Adam Rose who was Chappy at our school for 13 years.
Hi all,
As I had my last day, I realised I didn't get to farewell and thank everyone for being part of the Chaplaincy Service for the last 14 years at MSHS. For those that I missed, I hope you find this at some point on our social media page.
Firstly, I want to thank our your people that continue to inspire me, and keep me young at heart. Watching young people face their fears and challenges and grow from them has been a constant reward in this role. I have especially appreciated all the young people that have shown the courage to give back to their community in lots of positive ways.
Secondly, I want to thank all the staff that have collaborated with different projects over the years. I can't think of a staffing team in which I haven't been supported by in some capacity. Whether in teaching me a new skill, donating resources, organising my chaos, attending fundraising events, sleeping on cardboard boxes and so on. I have constantly felt supported in lots of different ways by our whole staffing team. A special thanks to our school leadership and student service team. You consistently created pathways for helping me engage young peoples learning by bringing creative activities to life.
Thirdly, I owe a big thank you to our school Maroochydore SHS Parents and Citizen’s Association, our Local Chaplaincy Committee, community organisations and local churches. Your support in lots of ways empowered me to keep a priority focus on working with young people.
Finally, a big thankyou to my family who have sacrificed their time and energy to support this role in lots of different ways. Thanks for being a part of my journey.
Many blessings,
Adam Rose, MSHS Chappy
