INFLATABLES REQUIRED! Have you BOTH got your inflatable object sorted?
The course includes some short swims, so we want you to have a little extra floatation (e.g. a small inflatable Lilo, swim ring, or inflatable animal from somewhere like Anaconda). While you are there you can check out the full range of Mountain Designs gear in store!

As usual, the Wild Women AR is going to be terrific, with a whole bunch of women out there together tackling challenges and navigating their way through the course together! We know there will be plenty of laughter and smiles as teams make their way through the course on foot, mountain bike, kayak and of course INFLATABLES! We will have our amazing photographer Margarete Oti out on the course to capture some of the action throughout the day!

Don't forget to pack smart: Waterproof dry bags for phones/gear are a must. Map boards for bike legs and leg gaiters are strongly recommended.

Wild Women AR 2026 is just under 4 weeks away! Check out the key updates below to get race-ready. It's not too late to enter!

INFLATABLES REQUIRED! An email has been sent to all entrants.
Get ready to get wet! Part of the course includes short swims—featuring the return of the infamous Pink Flamingo 🦩.

Mandatory Gear: Each team must bring an inflatable object (e.g., a small inflatable lilo, swim ring, or inflatable stingray from somewhere like Anaconda/BCF).

You’ll carry it for parts of the course and choose when to inflate/deflate.

Tri Adventure has had some amazing results at various events over the last few weeks. Mitch and Murray took the overall win in the Australasian Rogaine Champs (put on by the dedicated volunteers from Rogaining Queensland). Kim and Jan took out the women's category and placed 3rd overall in the 15 hour event - that was a surprise! Leanne and Scott also put in stellar performance in the 24 hour..

Last weekend Kim and Shelley raced at the Adventure Racing World Series - Oceania Champs and also won the women's category at placed 5th overall..

Back in Queensland, Cass, Nicola and Amie flew the flag for the Mountain Designs Wild Women - Adventure Racing Team at the Hiddenvale Epic 90km Mountain bike race and all came home winners 🏆

Not an event, but our super volunteers Greg and Michele Krome have been busy vetting our Wild Women course and having some emu encounters along the way..

Very proud of you all an thank-you for representing Tri Adventure..

If you are looking for an amazing NZ experience, The The MAGNIficent ticks all the boxes. It's raw, it's grassroots, it's fabulous. The Magness twins put their heart and soul into this event and they create courses that are achievable for all levels.. Also, we love supporting an event that puts the environment at the forefront... Come on Aussies, this is a great way to see the real NZ - and away from the tourist crowds...

Right. We need more teams.

Well, okay—that’s not entirely true.

We’ll run this race regardless with the teams we have, because that’s what we do. But truth be told, we want more of you out there with us.

As of now, we’re about half full (15 of 30 spots remaining).
Three youth teams are already locked in (only 2 youth spots left!), which we’re stoked about. Maybe you’re already planning to join us this December and just haven’t registered yet. (We know, we know—we’re terrible at using early-bird deadlines to force your hand.)

But the real reason we’re calling out is simple: we love what we do, and we want to share it with as many of you as possible.

We put on a hell of a good adventure. A proper, unsupported expedition race tied directly to the Adventure Racing World Series . It’s as sustainable as we can make it, ridiculously affordable for what you get, and built by racers, for racers: Real navigation that actually tests your team.

Technical terrain and a hard-earned but achievable course. and amazing grassroots media coverage that puts your team in the spotlight to a worldwide audience.

So, if you’re sitting on the fence, what’s holding you back? Is it timing?

Feedback from previous editions has been mind-blowing, and because we actually listen and adapt, MAG is only getting better.

We know we’re not the mega-hyped, helicopter-savvy, event everyone’s grandma has heard of on the evening news (also a great race by the way!). And we don't quite yet offer the social media name-drop-ability that will earn you general and mainstream recognition of your accomplishments (or attempted accomplishments).

Sharpen up your nav skills before the upcoming Wild Women AR!

Join us this Sunday for a 3-hour hands-on navigation training session with Kim and Jan from Tri Adventure.

Whether you want to practice bike navigation using a map board and compass or simply refine your hiking navigation, this session caters for you!
