It's rare to find people with such an abundance of pure heart in the world.

I love watching just how much the students love her. Giggling alongside her, sharing stories, feeling safe to ask for help and support of all kinds.

I am a better person for knowing you Steph!.

The wheels would well and trult fall off without you!

One element about what I love as an art teacher is being able to link art making with nature and, in particular ways to help to protect the environment that we are so lucky to live within.

This project - 'Upcycled Bottle Birds' is one of those art projects that ticks all of those boxes and... they look so great!

Have you been feeling a desire to get 'back in touch' with your creative side?

Chony's Art Room we have weekly beginner classes for adults on Mondays from 6.30-8pm at Thr Coolum HeARTs Inc

This is a small, group of lovely humans who gather to explore and express themselves using a wide range of art materials, processes and techniques.

There is no pressure in this class to produce 'perfect' art work that looks exactly the same as an existing artists work. This class is all about self-expression learning through 'having a go' and and trying a huge range of art materials.

Chony is a QCT registered arts educator, with art therapy qualifications. She has well over 25 years experience both internationally and in regions around Australia.

Most term students will have the opportunity to -

- paint using a variety of mediums - acrylic, water colour, oils etc
- create sculptures
- mutli-media works
- draw using a variety of materials
- discover print making
- textile art etc etc

Come and meet some new people, listen to some carefully curated tunes and mindfully have some 'you time'.

I love the rawness and texture of this water colour landscape painted last night in our adults class by the super amazing Summer.

It seems, the more you 'let go' with water colour the more 'personality' in an art work is achieved.

Something for those wildly creative, artistic kids out there! X

It’s time to get wild-ly creative!

The Australian Conservation Foundation’s ‘Wild At Art’ is Australia’s largest wildlife art competition for children aged 5–12, running from 22 June to 10 August 2026. It’s a chance to get wild with art and learn more about Australia's threatened animals and plants and the threats facing them.

From fluffy to scaly to spiky, young artists can also ‘draw’ inspiration from the wildlife right here on the Central Coast.
