I am starting a new free get-together called "inner circle" at the Maleny Neighourhood Centre every first Tuesday of the month at 9:30am 💖🌻
I used to run support groups specific to complex PTSD, autism and ADHD, this one however is more general on managing intense emotions and a busy mind, so that we can focus on what's important to us.

When we are grieving
We often get busy with stuff
Perhaps a default mechanism
Perhaps in certain circumstances, it's the best option
Mostly however
It only serves to temporarily relieve the pain of grieving loss
So I catch myself wanting to go out for coffee, paint, do gardening, volunteer work....
And I pause
Because I know and can sense it in my heart
It's a distraction
And engaging in these types of activities
Will create more suffering
Or prolong it
So what if you become still instead
And become one with the pain
Even if fear arises
Expand
Allow
Surrender to the pain
It's a portal
Can you "see"
