Our Easter Bunny visit last week started these meaningful shared experiences, sparking imagination, language, and social connection. These experiences support children to build confidence, develop communication skills, and form positive relationships

Just a reminder that our centre will be closed for Good Friday and Easter Monday, reopening Tuesday 7/4/26.

At Goodstart Kawana, we know that children thrive when they feel connected, not just within our centre, but within the wider community around them.

Each year, our Kindergarten children look forward to walking over to the Uniting Church plant sale, where they carefully choose plants for our garden and books to enjoy at home. It’s a beautiful tradition that builds a sense of belonging, responsibility, and connection to place.

Last Friday, the rain had other plans 🌧️ and our excursion couldn’t go ahead. But what happened next is exactly why community partnerships are so powerful…

Our wonderful neighbours brought the experience to us. 💛

Maria arrived with a collection of books, a special Jemima Puddle-Duck story, and a beautiful duck garden statue for the children. The children will now bring this experience to life—reading the story, painting the duck, and proudly adding it to our garden. 🦆🎨

This meaningful experience reflects the heart of the Early Years Learning Framework, supporting children to develop a strong sense of identity and connection to their community (Outcome 2), while also fostering creativity, literacy, and belonging.

Moments like these remind us—it takes a village, rain or shine, and we’re so grateful for ours. 💛

We’re incredibly proud to share that during our recent Assessment & Rating, we were assessed in Quality Area 2 (Children’s Health & Safety) and Quality Area 3.1 (Physical Environment) achieving a strong ‘Meeting’ rating, with some Exceeding themes in QA2.2 👏
