There’s always that one work bestie who won’t let you get away with it. 👀😂

When behaviour escalates, it’s easy to slip back into reacting instead of responding.

That’s where the space between matters. That moment gives us an opportunity to think about what’s happening and make a conscious decision about what comes next.

And if you forget? Hopefully your work bestie is nearby to call you out. 😂

Join Our Team: Education Consultant – 2027

Do you notice what others miss in a classroom?

At Blackley Group, we work alongside schools to help teachers better understand the impact their everyday decisions and interactions have on students, learning, and classroom culture.

For 2027, we are looking for an Education Consultant to join our growing team. Based in Brisbane.

This is not a traditional consulting role. You won't be sitting behind a desk telling schools what they should do.

You'll be inside classrooms, observing practice, collecting meaningful data and creating conversations that help teachers and leaders see what is happening differently.

Through classroom observations, data and professional conversations, we help educators understand not simply what students are doing, but how teacher decisions and interactions can influence what happens next.

We don't enter classrooms looking for what teachers are doing wrong. We support teachers to see their impact.

And when teachers can see their impact, they can make intentional decisions about what they want to do next.

Join us in 2027

If you are an experienced educator who loves classrooms, people and professional learning, and you're ready to make an impact beyond your own classroom, we'd love to hear from you.

Same tools. Used differently.

LAST CHANCE TO SECURE YOUR FREE SPOT!

Teachers make hundreds of decisions every day.
A student refuses.
Another becomes verbally dysregulated.
Movement around the classroom becomes unsafe.

What do you do first?

On 8 September, join Dr Caroline Blackley for a FREE 45-minute online workshop exploring practical ways to respond to eight common areas of student behaviour.

It’s not about giving teachers another long list of strategies. It’s about supporting teacher decision-making so you can better understand what you’re seeing, choose your response and know what to do next.

Sometimes the behaviour didn’t begin in your classroom.

Something may have happened at home, on the bus, in the playground or during the lesson before yours.

You may not know the full story, but you still need to decide how to respond in that moment.

That first interaction matters. What we say and do can influence whether a student moves towards regulation and learning, or whether the behaviour continues to escalate.

Join me for my FREE 45-minute online workshop on 8 September, where we’ll look at eight key behaviour areas, including entry and exit behaviours, and practical ways to respond.

Not a bad view on the way to work. 🌅

Aarjon snapped this last week on her way out to St John's Catholic Primary School Walkerston. Brisbane certainly knows how to put on a beautiful show!

The Four Dimensions team spends plenty of time on the road, visiting schools and working alongside educators in their own communities.
So, where would you like to see us next? 👇

A student looks at you and says, “No. I’m not doing it.”

What happens next?

Refusal can feel personal, especially when you’re trying to keep the classroom moving. But the behaviour we see doesn’t always tell us why a student is refusing.

Before deciding what to say or do next, it can help to consider what might be happening for that student.

We’ll explore this, along with practical ways to respond to student disruption, in my FREE 45-minute online workshop on 8 September.

If you’re looking for a framework to support your decision-making in these moments, join us.

Nestled amongst the sugar cane fields of Walkerston is a small school with a very big heart. 💚

Representing Dr Caroline Blackley and Four Dimensions, Aarjon recently spent time with the team at St John's Catholic Primary School Walkerston, where the strength of the school community was clear.

There’s something special about a thriving small school. People know one another, support one another and share a genuine commitment to creating the best possible learning environment for their students.

Throughout the visit, Aarjon saw educators reflecting together, sharing their practice and continuing to look for ways to grow. Not because something is broken, but because getting better together is part of the culture.

Thank you to the St John’s community for making Aarjon feel so welcome.
