"Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children, play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood." - Fred Rogers
Play is more than just a fun way for children to entertain themselves. It's actually a complex process that builds skills and helps children learn about themselves and the world around them. When children are playing they are:
π Building language and vocabulary
π§ Improving their ability to follow multi-step directions
π Enhancing creativity and problem-solving skills
π₯° Seeing the world from a different perspective (developing their capacity for empathy)
