❄️ Winter Uniform Donations Drive ❄️

Now that winter has arrived, we’re calling on our wonderful school community to help stock our 2nd Hand Uniform Shop!

If your child has outgrown any Palmview winter uniforms, jumpers, jackets or pants, we’d appreciate any donations. Your pre-loved uniforms help support families and ensure all students have access to affordable school uniforms.

📍 Donations can be dropped off at the Palmview Special School Administration Office or your local school office.

Thank you for supporting our school community! 💙💛

While exploring the sound K during phonics, Tilly put her learning into action by drawing Kate, Kylie and Keriann! 🎨✏️

What a wonderful way to connect letter sounds to the people around us while building phonics skills. Great work, Tilly! ⭐😊

Last week we were fortunate to welcome Lily, Sports Development Coordinator from Boccia Australia to Palmview State Special School for a half-day session introducing our students to the inclusive sport of Boccia.

Boccia is a fantastic sport that allows people of all abilities to participate, compete and develop skills in strategy, teamwork, concentration and coordination. Our students thoroughly enjoyed learning the rules, practising their throwing skills and taking part in some friendly competition.

It was wonderful to see so many smiles, determination and encouragement throughout the session as students discovered a new sport that truly embraces inclusion.

A huge thank you to Lily and Boccia Australia for sharing their expertise, enthusiasm and passion with our students. We are grateful for the opportunity to provide experiences that allow every student to be active, engaged, and successful. A huge thank you to our lovely Physios and AVTs who supported throughout the day.

Today, the Rosella and Fig Tree classes enjoyed a special end-of-semester treat with fish and chips from Sophie's family business, The Creek Fish and Chips.

The celebration was also a wonderful opportunity for students to practise a range of important life skills. Students selected their meals, discussed their choices and wrote out their own orders, developing communication, decision-making and functional literacy skills.

They also helped prepare for lunch by setting the table and creating personalised place cards, fostering independence, organisation and social skills.

It was a fantastic real-world learning experience and a lovely way to celebrate the end of the semester. A big thank you to Sophie's family for helping make the day so special!
