Coaching isnt comfortable.

And not everything needs session.

Some coaches will have you think every challenge needs another call, another program, another breakthrough.

It doesn't.

Sometimes you dont need more insight.
You need to make a decision.

You'll need space to think, outside of the sessions.
You will look at things you're avoiding.
You will be challenged on the stories you've told yourself for years.

You will probably leave feeling uncomfortable.

Because it isnt about another tool, another mindset shift, or more information, but its about taking action and having the hard conversation, even with yourself.

Asking yourself these questions.
Why did I react like that?
I wonder what that emotion is about?
Im curious about why they see it that way.
Why does that set me off?

And sometimes you have to take action.
And do something different to what you always do!!

Coaching is about finding your resources, its about showing you a mirror to see whats going on and whats getting in your way.

Its to help you trust yourself, think for yourself, and make decisions without needing permission.

Friendly reminder that your life is happening right now.
Not when you lose the weight.
Not when you feel more confident.
Not when everyone approves.

So many people are surviving their life instead of actually living it.
I see it every day as a nurse and in conversations I have with people.
I cant afford it,, what will my husband say, I'm too busy to actually change.

Ive spent over $50k on myself over the past 4 years.
Because I am worth it. 😌

You see, your best life is not, what insta, tic tok or substack tells you.

Its's the belly laughs, the connections, the peace, the freedom and the choices you get to make with clarity and confidence.

Yet honestly? Sometimes you don’t need another podcast or motivational quote or that shelf help book from kmart.

You need support and accountability.
Someone to help you see your patterns, challenge your thinking, and get out of your own way.

One day you’ll realise life was never about doing everything perfectly and that is not what those on their deathbed regret.

They want to connect, laugh, enjoy and actually being in life.

Coaching isn’t about fixing you.

It’s about helping you hear yourself again underneath the noise, pressure, expectations, and overthinking.

Which role so you play?

We all fall into these roles at times through our life.

And when we notice, we can be proactive to change our behaviour.

The 3 alternatives are

The Coach
Supporting and sparks curiosity.

The Creator
Focuses on vision and outcomes. Focused on the actions they can take to achieve these.

The Challenger
Challenges assumptions and states the facts. Holds people accountable for taking action.

Which in of these would you like to be in more?

Save it for later when your spiralling into the drama triangle and need a reminder of the alternatives.

Just because you're brain is spiralling at 11pm at night, doesn't mean everything is falling apart.

I had to mention this to a client this week.

You see when your brain is overwhelmed, tired, stressed, or even emotional, it will throw out some wild things.

It replays patterns, it has a negative bias.
Its goal is to keep you safe, which means the same.

It makes up scenarios based on...nothing.

Yet you're the one hearing this.
Over and over.

Yet this doesn't mean they are facts.

And we need to refute them.

We need to challenge these thoughts.

The Im not good enough thought.
Really? Your brain will look for all the proof to show you.

Yet this is not true, because it misses all the good and positive things.

The I cant do that.
Really? You can do anything you want and choose to so. It may not be easy, yet it can be done.

And if you believe these thoughts then it becomes your reality.

I wrote on a post recently, someone was asking if everyone is low key depressed. Because that all they see.

And I mentioned we have 70,000+ thoughts per day, and if we focus in the negative ones, we see more of that in our life. Yet working on your mind every day is key. Not just positive thinking, but challenging your thoughts, reframing, building self trust. Doing the things you say you are going to do. Step into courage.

So when you start observing the thoughts and go 'oh that old thing' and moving on, you realise you dont have to believe or become everything thing you mind thinks.

Share this with someone who needs a reminder, they are not broken, and do not need a diagnosis, they have just been tuned into the wrong voice for to long.

The most dangerous sentence I hear.

Sounds harmless and possibly true right?

Yet the moment you say it, your brain stops looking for options.

You stop backing yourself.
You stop creating.
You lose possibility.

Yet even in today's world, we are conditioned to believe
📎 keeping the peace matters more than you
📎 Sacrifice equals success
📎 Wanting more is selfish
📎 Seeking help is crazy
📎 Staying small is safe
📎 Keeping the job you have is necessary, because you need the leave and safety.

Yet language matters more than we realise and I have an ear for it.

I hear it at work, as a nurse, I hear it in business.

Your language becomes what you see and how you operate.
It can become a command.

So instead of 'I dont have a choice'.

Try these instead...
'I don’t like my options right now '
'Im scared of what it might cost me'
'I haven't decided yet'
'I don't know how, yet'.

And get specific. Detailed.

This is where your power comes back.

Because we all need remindering sometimes ❤️

Stop wanting more confidence!

Confidence is overrated.
Self-trust is the real flex.

Because the nurse applying for the leadership role?
She’s not confident. She’s terrified she’s not enough.

The business owner posting online?
Not confident either.
She’s battling the voice saying, ‘Who do you think you are?’

The woman changing careers, speaking up more, setting boundaries, charging more, leading more?
Most of the time she’s shaking while she does it.

Its the belief behind it that you need to question.

That’s the part no one talks about.

People think confidence comes first.

You weren’t confident when you started driving a car, yet you did it.
You weren’t confident the fiest day on the job, yet you did it.

You see somewhere along the line we tell ourselves stories that limit us, and these beliefs about what is possible get in the way.

The action comes first.
The confidence catches up later.

A lot of women aren’t lacking confidence.

They’ve just spent years disconnected from who they actually are underneath the roles, pressure, expectations and proving.

Proving...Im good enough. I am worthy. I belong (more on these later)

That’s why I created The Woman You Actually Are.

Not to teach women how to become someone else.

Because we dont need to be someone else. We need to stop abandoning ourelves every time life asks us to grow.

Because there’s a version of you underneath the performance.
And she’s the one I want to meet.
