We're looking for passionate people to join our wonderful team with an interest in education and supporting children grow in the OSHC setting at YMCA Palmview OSHC

OSHC educators care and educate children in before school, after school and during school holiday periods.

Our programs involve real world experiences including taking advantage of the Sunshine Coast lifestyle!

As an OSHC Educator you will need:

■A certificate or diploma qualification in Children Services or equivalent or studying towards a relevant qualification
■Hold or be willing to obtain a current First Aid and CPR certification
■Current Blue Card
■Bronze medallion (would be an advantage)

Maleny Bird World and Botanical Gardens is a wonderful family location. Braving the aviary and the playful Macaw birds who love to steel buttons and jewellery, the children and staff appreciated the setting, the various environments in the park and the winner on the day was the farm animals and feeding tiny goats 🙌🦜🐥🐐

We are excited vacation is finally here! Remember fully packed lunches with healthy food options, sun safe clothing, hats, spare clothes and a towel. If you are bringing any wheels please ensure it is in good working order and your child has a helmet and appropriate shoes.

Our routine is breakfast till 8.30am, morning tea at 10am, lunch at 12 and we provide a late snack at 3pm.

The children had a great day at Wildlife HQ. It was definitely a super warm day but thankfully the park has many rest and shaded spaces to relax, the animals know the best spots 😉 if you have'nt been yet, take your children down, it's a great family day spot 👌

I am really excited to invite everyone to our Day For Kynan!

We are hosting a family fun day to help fundraise for this beautiful family who have a long road ahead.

Sadly Kynan was recently diagnosed with Adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD). ALD is a rare genetic condition that means Kynan’s body can’t break down long chain fatty acids. This then builds up in the brain and attacks the Myelin sheaths (covering of the nerves). This disease effects mainly boys and is usually diagnosed between 8-10years old. With Kynan it has effected his eyesight, hearing, muscle control and memory. Sadly Kynan’s disease is too far progressed for the most commonly used treatments. His family have found some alternative treatments to try and improve Kynan’s condition and to help try and slow the disease as well as other options. His mum Kel has had to leave work and his dad Cage has had to take a long time off work and Kynan’s treatment is expensive.

We hope that you would join us to help raise money for this beautiful family and celebrate this gorgeous boy that despite everything he is going through is still the kindest, sweetest boy who is so full of life!

We will have a sausage sizzle and games provided by 91.9 Sea FM. As well as lots of super fun activities for the whole family to enjoy!

Set you child up for success by learning about the world of business! A BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP FOR KIDS

The Kidpreneur Course is a fantastic online course designed to nurture your entrepreneurial minded kids into budding business owners.

The course is suitable for children aged 5-14 with activities for every level.

We explore the world of business by learning about finance and money, marketing and branding, sales and profit streams, merchandising and packaging, business plans, goal setting and much much more.

We believe it is important to teach children these important life lessons and skills at a young age, so that they enter the business world with knowledge, skills and a growth mindset.

Some of this week's program included sensory toys. Inspired by our room toys we made our own calming puzzles which inspired the playdough stress balls which then spread the children's thoughts to our Educator team ❤️ how thoughtful....or are they trying to tell us something 🤣

As part of our focus this term of being environmentally responsible we planned this wonderful activity. Children bring in quality used items and swap for other sizes or styles - upcycle ✌️
We are going to keep this going next week so bring in your gear👍

Our little excursion to the local park showed great promise for a regular excursion during term time 🤞 We managed to get in and out before the rain 🌧 , it was a bit chilly but great fun ✌️
